trying to get this fight. and he's (understandably) the last guy GBP wants him to fight right now. not like they're not looking for a *serious* step-up opponent, just not a slick, awkward southpaw with that type of pedigree.
other than Cotto, Lara is starting to look like the only respectable opponent left for Canelo's first PPV event... unless they gonna drop that 2.5 on Mandingo.

It was a brawl but Lopez was swinging for the fences from the start and wasn't truly trying to win rounds. Victor was actually scoring with his jab in addition to his power punches. That is not to say Victor wasn't swinging for the fences either.

i didnt/dont really score rounds, all i can say is that it isnt that far fetched. Matthysse's work specifically in the 5th is what led to the knockout. i remember at around 1 minute left i noticed a huge dropoff in Sotos output and demeanor. I started thinking it would only go a round or two more, then that flurry in the last seconds put an end to it.
