Half of his 4 (4!!!) series' 3s came in game 2. It's taken him 11 tries to hit 2 3s.

The worst part is that he's taking the same amount of shots he's been taking all year. I will not take away how well he was doing in the Western conference offs, but it's the biggest stage and his head is the fuzziest.

If a player is in a slump, and lacks confidence and direction with his shot, the PG is supposed to get him going. The pg is supposed to put the slumping player in a position to make easy buckets.

If the Head does not direct the body, then the body cannot perform, therefore, in-animation will set in.

russy should be directing and orchestrating the offense, putting players in an optimal position to get the high percentage shot. He should be motivating his teammates, talking to them, huddling with them. You know, things that real PGs do.

How many times have we seen Magic pull Kareem , Worthy over to talk to them?

How many times have we seen Rondo pull KG over, paul over, ray over to talk to them?

...How many times have we seen it from Wade( combo guard!), williams, paul, fucking rubio?!( nope!...saw him pull love over several times)




Russy aint never pull Harden over ...nope ...Even kerr pulled jordan over once( though, he got stole on later in practice)

I mean, they only have 3 scorers and Miami has 3 world class perimeter defenders. Someone had to get taken out.

But Battle is also averaging 7 more minutes than Harden so he's bound to carry out guarding other people. The Heat are switching around most of their defensive assignments so Harden, like KD and Russy, is being hit by many different defenders. If anything I'd say I see Battle guarding KD more often than Harden, but I haven't looked up any specific stats to tell you for certain.

When he drives he loses the ball, when he shoots from the outside it rims out, he suddenly can't buy a finish at the basket...so dude is clearly rattled.

he comes off the bench for a reason, he's a streak shooter and a suspect defender, when his jumper isn't falling he's a liability on the floor

Totally disagree. He is outstanding going to the basket, finishes very well, and is a good facilitator who also gets to the line fairly often.

As a defender he is average. He can't check Lebron, big surprise. Show me the other people who have lit James Harden up this postseason. His defense is average.


It's totally reasonable to say you don't see someone deserving of a max contract. But after his play against Dallas and San Antonio (and the whole season) it is a bit ridiculous to paint him as a one-dimensional chucker.
