"The Youngest In Charge (Magic hire Rob Hennigan)"
By Josh Robbins, Orlando Sentinel
6:59 p.m. EDT, June 20, 2012 The Orlando Magic have hired 30-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder executive Rob Hennigan as their new general manager.
Hennigan is now the youngest GM in the league, but not the youngest GM in league history.

Redick Hennigan has spent the last four seasons working for the current Western Conference champions. The Thunder are a small-market franchise that has combined some luck in the NBA draft lottery with wise draft selections and several savvy trades.
A native of Worcester, Mass., Hennigan is in second season as the Thunder's assistant general manager/player personnel, overseeing the team's pro, college and international scouting departments.
From the 2004-05 season through the 2007-08 season, Hennigan worked for the San Antonio Spurs, joining the franchise as an intern fresh out of Emerson College. The eventually was promoted to the position of director of basketball operations.
Hennigan replaces Otis Smith, the former president of basketball operations and GM whom the team parted with on May 21.
Hennigan inherits a difficult situation in Orlando — one muddied by Dwight Howard's uncertain future and by the team's limited payroll flexibility.
First, Hennigan will lead the franchise's search for a new head coach.

His age is a bit of a concern, but i like the idea of a young guy eager to prove himself. Although one could argue Otis was a similar play, though of a completely different mold.
Bet one thing, this dude will take advantage of Devos willingness to spend and make a big deal or two. Good mix actually, young calculating cat with the backig of an owner eager to move forward with the means to do so.
