http://espnfc.com/uk/en/news/1085513/englandgary-cahill-ruled-euro-2012.html

Now they are fucked on defense with a major injury to Cahill, one of the best CBs in the world. They had a great showing the other day, so for this to happen is fucked on so many levels.

I think a jaw takes about a good 3-4 months to heal properly. He's going to miss Super Cup as well. Dude is going to be in a Herman Munster brace for a minute

Double fracture of the jaw, both sides.

damn.

How good is Martin Kelly?

there've been arrests and subpoenas, in fact a defender that was called up for the 2012 squad was arrested

so this guy was trying to rally favor by saying they shouldn't play in the tourney

Italy will be there

he was probably just scared of their opening match v reigning champs Espana

Yeah. I caught wind of that on EPL Talk( get the stitcher app on your phone ..best podcast app in the world)....I heard certain italian football officials stating that their should be a three year ban placed on all of football in italy.

No world cup. No Serie A. No Eurocup etc...

that shit is major. I'm not sure if it is going to be THOROUGHLY exercised, but just the fact that it was mentioned is unbelievable in itself.

all what i've read has been serie c/b teams fighting for promotion with a sprinkling of serie b/a teams

no way the italian government shuts the azzurri down for 3 years let alone 3 months

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/soccer/05/29/italy.ap/index.html

Naw, fam, he wants the death sentence on everything.

"Premier Mario Monti suggested Tuesday that Italian football should be suspended for two to three years after the latest match-fixing scandal rocked the national team and tarnished the image of the domestic game yet again just a week before the start of the European Championship."

That was his suggestion.....More than likely, it will not happen...but still

who cares?

those guys are trying to rep their country, and a lot of them are coming off of massive seasons, where they played a lot of minutes.

Lampard is done for the summer. Terry has been pretty much hurt since the beginning of the year, and Cahill just came off of a huge injury. He was questionable for the CL game but managed to play. I personally feel that no player from chelsea should be playing for england right now. Out of all the teams in the world, I'm willing to bet you that chelsea played more football in a short time span than any other team : EPL, FA,CL. The other top teams in the epl were out of the tournaments, but chelsea kept on trucking ....Chelsea players need rest!

EPL football is grueling as fuck, and even though Cahill's injury was kind of a freak accident, aint shit funny about it ...or snark worthy.

I wouldn't be surprised if cole and terry get hurt next....

To me, English players have it bad. The style of play is so fucking hard, and then having to rep your country after just finishing a tenacious pro season?

FOH

That shit is not a cake walk.
