What he's done post-basketball in a short time is really remarkable. You see athletes go into the booth after their career is over or even get into sports management or coaching and in some cases are even more successful in those roles than they were as a player.
But for Kobe to have this level of success in a completely new field is really remarkable. He really found a perfect fit for his obsessive tendencies and attention to detail.
Phil Jax really ought to take notes from Kobe on how to transition into another phase of life post-basketball.

BTW, Baron Davis and Steve Nash dabbled in film making before Kobe just to name two famous ones. Their product was not Oscar nominated. Unlike the Kobe effort it was also less of a narcissistic exercise and imo less cheesy.
