i liked the early game when they were letting them knocks go, but far as i'm concerned if griffin can't fucking handle the lee, speights, and oneal without fouling out he can gtfo out of the playoffs like always.

iggy got worse from the refs.
only one was even iffy, and he still was letting david lee get away with everything and gs pass at will in the paint.
the last call he literally botched a chance to score on the go ahead twice and then held and reached in after losing the offensive board.
hell, if he had a true mean streak he'd at least have punished them on his way out. and if he had a true mean streak the refs would prob let him play a bit rougher.

Since they got to the 2nd round last year & gave the Spurs a run for their money the ownership thought getting Iggy will put them over the top which is why they paid him so much money. When the season began they were expected to be a serious contender but as the season went on they seemed to regress & kept sliding down the standings which is when all the rumors began to swirl.

...behind the scenes. When Mike Malone was the assistant coach (also the main Xs and Os guy) they would sometimes go a week or two withouth talk it to each other. He rubs the front office types the wrong way. There's Alonso been some rumblings that he' was frequently getting out-coached in close games, doesn't have any plays besides "ISO on Curry, who then can kick it out to Klay if necessary", and sometimes doesn't look like he knows what he's doing. Combine that. With high expectations after last season, ownership is probably a little disappointed that they're the 6 seed again. Especially when you consider all the dumb games that we lost at home to bad teams; winning those possibly puts at the 3 or 4 seed.
Now, if you ask me, all that coaching complaints don't matter. We won 51 GAMES. That washes the vast majority of that shit away. Besides, wringing your hands because a guy who you knew had ZERO coaching experience before getting the job isn't great at Xs and Os is asinine. You knew what you were getting when you hired him. The guy is first and foremost a great motivator. Think whatever you want of him, but the players love Jackson. Curry, Klay, Draymond, O'Neal, they all love him. And they're all buying what he's selling. And when you combine that with the 51 wins, that's all you need.
