You bring life to the barren stark crab apple tree It stands rigid from an icy winter While you are regal in stature dressed in a radiant red Trimmed in black I gaze upon your vigilant gestures The hours are yet early And the earth is quiet The better for you as you are the guardian of the nest Perched high enough to nervously watch for the purposeful predators who prey on your hatchlings In a short while you must nurture these sweet chirping darlings Feeding time is exact For your young must grow strong Wings and eyes They will soon leave the nest To begin their circle of life To show their young how to grow strong wings to fly To be vigilant of the purposeful predators who seek their end The circle of life outside my window reflecting back at me As I prepare to free my nest shortly And my male child flies on ward into his circle of life I pray he will stay vigilant of the Purposeful predators who prey on his soul

Thank you for reading and giving feedback. I enjoyed writing this piece as I was blessed to admire the beauty before me during a very gray and cold winter day. I believe God shows up in many ways. Peace.
