Times when I may be...
self -centered
I cry
Times when I may be
lonely
I cry
Times when I am
angry
depressed
self obsessed
I cry
There are times when
movies like Sex and The City
or As Good As It Get's
yeh make me cry
I may even wipe the tears from my eyes
asking why am I crying
I cry cause I am human
I feel
I think
I believe
I cry when my children
I miss
and their mothers I some how
dis missed
the water that flows sometimes I know
can cleanse even my soul
or wipe away the build up
on my heart like mold
I cry and I am a man
A father
a son
a brother
a friend
a lost lover
I cry cause if i let these ducts dry
I know I will die
Sometimes my poems scratch the surface
often too these poems are well defined
but nothing can replace what is behind each letter
of every word
simply
those moments in time
