Good - evil - polarizing people Light em up, shoot em down, waste em all Get the bad guys, hit em til they fall Ready for revenge - It's balls out war On a kill mission to seek and destroy Conquer and divide - separate the men from the boys Mortality is finality Blast fast - React first - No questions asked Morality is not reality Kill count - kill shot - body count way up Consequences are sentimental Black or white thinking - carnal instinct A time for killing - a time for pain Time's almost up - gotta win this game Out of lives - Now I die - Load of shame
A poignant reminder of the times we are living in; however if we choose to wake up to the reality maybe we can be free from the game that is being played.

I kinda agree with Huey ... This sounds like an abstract scenario from Trayvon Martin's story ... while at the same time, I could see this played out like HALO 4 (video game).
Painfully Nice ... & ... *Felt*

Thanks all for your input. My thoughts on Trayvon:
A moment in time Two lives intertwined The boy was near - the man felt fear He was too close for comfort Was it wrong place for colored? Emboldened by his weapon, the man starts tempting
The boy accepts the man's invite But this is not to be a fair fight The man stalks the boy as he walks The man challenges the boy to strike The boy, so strong, who doesn't "belong" The man, so scared, who wants to be feared The boy, so young, now faces a gun
A man and a boy, a moment in time That day in the rain they say justice reigned The man denies any wrongdoing No culpability in shooting
Who is right to start a fight? Who has the right to end a life? Who is innocent? Who is ignorant? Round and round it goes, no end in sight
Bigotry, equality Age, race, and gender Gun control defenders Everybody has something to say About the man and the boy that day
A moment in time that defines the attitude of multitudes Confirmation that a nation still battles an internal war The warriors yet to mourn
The rain keeps falling People keep walking Maybe the rain brings change Or the man stays the same If anyone's guess with chance encounters
