invested time

a few months on, "friends" turned into first kiss
in love at the first whiff when we first met
both attached but forgot
at first glance

road trips, vacations
dinner reservations
accommodations to meat
with no hesitation

but 2 years on, trying to be the rock
got too hard to.. ignore the rock
and come to terms.. not the mister

and now mister-ex.. with an invite
