My life is just sitting in Sac waiting for me to come back, so 2010 has been a grind to survive.

But its you I'm more interested in, Missssss Photo. I've been neglecting you (and the boards) but especially you, because you deserve the most attention (since you GIVE the most attention).

So. Every time I read one of your poem's I'm jealous. You have this incredible gift in that you can write these different poems that will have a familiar rhythm and vibe, I can settle in and let my mind wander through the space you create, and your voice is absolutely unmistakable.

Yet you never seem to repeat yourself- rhymes, themes, concepts, lines. You never get stuck reusing yourself- or if you do, you have so much source material and shit that I don't even notice. I've decided I'm going to start pointing out things others do well that I do poorly as a way to offer better, more heartfelt response than just 'I like yo shit'. And thats the first thing that springs to mind as to what YOU do better, among many others. That is one thing that I'd like to be able to use to work on myself thru reading your words.

Salt Lake City. A victim of foolish choices and a bad economy. As to how long the separation will last, well, hopefully short... but I can't see a road home any time soon. Which actually just gave me an idea for a new piece....


Anyway, you know I love everything you write. But I know its still nice to have someone say it... so I'm saying it. Even if all this mushy shit makes me uncomfortable,

2 things for 2010 -- (These two things been on my list damn year EVERY YEAR ... but I'mmma keep puttin' em' on the list til' I finally accomplish em')


1) Learn Conversational Spanish

I mean ... I know words, phrases, and even complete sentences ... but once a conversation gets going, I revert back to English, cuz I cain't hold a long conversation in Spanish.

I first learned Spanish in New York thru my neighbors and classmates from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.

Then we moved to Texas, and I found that the Spanish I "thought" I knew was different from Mexican Spanish. *Different Dialects* ... and a lotta slang -- (((Tex-Mex)))

In any case, I need to go to classes for Spanish ... cuz I got tapes, VHS, DVD's, CD's etc. out da kazoo -- but I need an INSTRUCTOR, nahmean?


2) Yoga -- I gotta get back on track. I haven't done Yoga in over -7 years. I miss it ... the flexibility & limber~ness I usta have ... and I miss sleeping so soundly.
