"Holla Back!"

Baptized in sentiments foreign to my heart

I part stagnant waters with streaming soliloquies

Rows of flows ripple like flat pebbles skipping beats

As time retreats --->>> rolling backwards in panoramic mindframes

It dances across glassy waters with random rhythms … reminiscing

I remember …

How your words pierced parchment paper – dripping

Thoughts, conceptions, philosophies, reflections – dipping

In and out of consciousness

Spilling over into poetic pools of perception

Genuine jewels adorn torn fabrics weaved with windswept wisdom

Blowing through time & space – brushing against my face

Sometimes it hurts that circumstances get in the way of living life to the fullest

Plans --- fall apart --- dissolving

Lack of plans --- results in inactivity --- never solving

People --- change / grow / constantly evolving

Alas … I failed to check on you … to see how you were doing

Picking up pieces of dreams … steadily patching & glue~ing

:':':'Fragments & destiny chips':':':

Walking tightrope tachometers -- speeding thru life doing flips

I feel you tho …

Reaching out thru proverbial portals ... Touching tender thought tendrils

Brushing softly across my cheeks – making me *smile*

Subliminal criminal in the skin of a cynical child

Words tickle brain stems sending electric shocks through windows to the soul

Warm to the touch ... but ultimately cold

(((Chilled))) – (((Bold)))

Righteously Gold

Shared mutuality is a reciprocal reality

As the world keeps turning

Paris is burning

Butter flows simulate buttermilk churning

And I'm still learning about KARMA and kismet

But there's no use crying over spilled milk -- now is it?

So tell me dear – how've you been?

Is life treating you fair?

Gas has gone ^UP^ -- Employment is down

But do you even care?

What say you?

Holla Back! -- ( That means add on -- ) ... whuzzup witchu?

A guitar string vibrating, a measure of my soul, a breech in the silence --
I've always felt like words come through me & I write them down... they have no master --- gsquared ♥

It's challenging to weave in and out of rhymes, unless it comes natural...like it does to you..

Thanx G -- I guess rhyming the way I do "IS" natural for me, cuz no matter how I try to change ^UP^ and do summm summmm a lil' different, I always revert back to this style of flowing.

The challenge for me will be to write a pCe that don't flow "No Where" -- just a stream of Un~consciousness -- -- (Cuz if I flow consciously, the rhyme scheme will subconsciously reappear)

Finally got around to reading this whole piece...

and I'm certainly not disappointed. Still love the way you write.. even though I have to reread it a few times to follow. Otherwise its like that old movie "And Now For something completely different"

Anyway.. you said add on.. so here goes..

Been a while, I've jumped a few styles
seen and been seen actin' like a child
Put some sneakers on my miles
Caused and fucked up some smiles
done some shots on tuesday and acted wild
But overall as the years go by, why I, I'm pretty mild

Tried to untie knots not forgot united by Zip-Tie's
Reached inside pried at my dark sides as I dip and dive
Recorded and live preach against hard lies
and try to make time to appreciate the sunshine

choppin' up lines of Life to snort
Admitted dork with a shitload of support
Its no surprise, style combo, lyrical spork
Like the Enterprise, I'll go, I'm a musical airport

Easily influenced, but thats good
Clearly a nuisance, never do what I should
Need a music rinse, but whatever..
I do what you'd do if you knew that you could....

kinda wandered on it.. but your piece reminded me of my relationship with okay.. so I started off like that.. and went somewhere else. Either way. Thanks for the piece and the excuse to write some stupid shit, =)

was watchin porn at the pump
while blowin my horn at this chump
who was lost in the hood
lookin foreign at his trunk
as he glanced at the spare
runnin his hands through his hair
his plans in despair
because this automobile
was his only chance to get there
while the seconds elapsed
I reckon I snapped
like you move your effin car
I beckoned him back
with single salutory digit
like this mental midget
has ruined my visit
to the service station
that's not very gentle, is it
then glancing at my wwjd bracelet
I felt shallow and tasteless
like the time I wasted
would've went a lot smoother
if the tire, I help him replace it

sorry photo, the gas prices got me trippin...$4.47 a gallon..state reps voting themselves raises, the mayors on an olympic fantasy....bottomline, the cost living has gone up, and my paychecks haven't

do i care?
you speak with words permeating
mindscapes and emotions once lost
to fear the truth found only
beneath the skin of criminal seed
where somewhere deep way past
times lapse, way past rehab
way past the moment you last asked...
"where you been?" n' "How you doin"
troubled waters rose since then
but i know you feel me cause
this spit washed me clean
i gotta say you found me wanting
so yeh I confess i've missed you
i felt you turn at the river bank looking back
no salt there we kept it moving
everybody sangin chertch songs
this aint no sad thang
see for r e a l love came by today
just to say hello
and we know a mutha fucka gotta raise up
when an ANGEL speaks

You killed it, brought it back to life and then kill it again. Photo.... as we southerners says Lord Hav Mercy you my friend, are entriely too sick. Inspiration....

Where do I start, The visions you created with punctuation are totally unique and fresh. Word usage!!! Are you freakin kidding me "tightrope tachometers" ,"reciprocal reality","proverbial portals",
>Touching tender thought tendrils, and panoramic mindframes. Your alliteration and plus stacking words on top of eachother are mind tickling. Not to mention your metaphors are completly lovely and odd in a sexy way. You are a genius I am eating my mental wheaties, so I can be like you when I grow.

~and finally here. i thought it ended solidly. definitely a favorite from you. you stepping up and out, getting your poetic|lyrical brolic on, i see. *nods* great work.

my contribution:

i miss your scent

ain't shit but the rent,
gotta new job, new car, new puppy, and
new way of thinkin', still time passes
and i ain't been feelin like i used to
since you.

i miss the way you would glance
at me when you awakened to a new day;
eyes wide, mouth dry w/ just a bit
of juice still remaining from the night before.
you adored how i slid out of bed;
hair wrapped up, booty laced in your boxers
making my way to the bathroom for a morning
piss.

it's all i can do to forget you
and that sweet taste of your kiss.
i been up, down, above, beyond, and around
all instances of our past and still i cannot
seem to come up with a better excuse other than
"we just grew apart."

you always wanted to mentor, i always wanted to
teach, and now we're doing sort of what
we've wanted to do, but we're still not
within reach of our total aspirations.
my mother asked about you the other day,
as she usually does during our phone conversations.
she'll never see another "boyfriend" as a
living, breathing, entity as she did you.

with all that's going on,
the world on its last leg w/
turmoil and strife, i still manage to
sit back, remember you, remember us,
but, i've finally let go of the pain
from not being your wife. that's progress,
wouldn't you say so?

I embody laziness, aka sloth
cover my body in under silk and cloth
smothering my ears, nanotechnology polyester
waterproofing me from tears

Earth's rhythm, God's drum
Patapatapon
They don't speak to me
I live and breathe for me

a slave to my own have-nots and have-to-have-its
caged in consumption
reigned in by wanting
to have you and have this to have you too

attaining my wants still fail my lusts
of a beautiful life and a beautiful mind
and I'll be straight and fine
as soon as the world is mine

Sometimes, I still dream
That divine pyre descends
Burns up the whole of me
for the future of our children
