"Titanic: The High Frame Rate 4K UHD re-release (James Cameron, 2023)"

I'm not going to make it to the theater to see this until after I see Creed III in IMAX on Wednesday, but I'm excited.

A few people I know say it's the best it's ever looked outside of some dated shots of the ship at the beginning.

They saw it in Dolby Cinema and I'm jealous. I'm seeing it in IMAX as every other Dolby I can make it to is showing Magic Mike's Last Dance.

Looked it up, they're running it through TrueCut Motion.

I have Gemini Man in HFR and it looks like a demo reel for a new Sony camera system and doesn't really look like a film.

If it gets The Abyss released in 4k I might could stomach the idea.

First off the High Frame Rate. I only noticed it subtly at the beginning when Jack and Fabrizio were running towards the ship. Jack and Fabrizio were 24fps while the background was 48fps. I'm going to see this again just to make sure.

But Jesus, this is the best the movie's ever looked. 3D is better than the last time they remastered it.

We need more epic melodramas. However, I don't think audiences today have the patience.
