""Werewolf By Night" Marvel/Disney+ (Michael Giacchino)" Fri Oct-14-22 09:22 PM by Voodoochilde
this just became my favorite 'official'* Marvel TV thang....
BIG time Kudos to Director (Michael Giacchino) <known mainly for his excellent musical compositions> on his first major 'full length' directorial gig. He directed the hell outta this thing IMO! EXCELLENT JOB!!
loved the performances in this too, Gael García Bernal was perfect as the lead, and Laura Donnelly has officially made be a fan of hers (i first became aware of her when she caught my eye in the show "the Nevers"), shes also perfect in this show.
dont sleep on this one. Its Marvel loosening up its tie a bit, and having some fun, actually doing something a tad different...(im hoping they lean MORE into THIS going forward cuz i came outta this show all smiles & 100% satisfied. Been a minute since i felt THAT way after a Marvel TV thang)
*not including Legion & SOME of the Netflix stuff. But this one ranks up there with those in my book

I thought it was a lot of fun and the performances were all good. Fun and campy Marvel Halloween special. My kids are still to young for this but I look forward to watching it with them when they get a little older.

yep, has some great/fun campy vibes, yet not SO much that it takes away from its 'grounded-ness' imo...strikes a good balance.
and yeah, might be too much for younger kids (legit visceral violence in this one, moreso than other Disney/Marvel products). This is more 'Teenage/Grownup' fun
