Obviously whoever wrote the book wanted to set up for sequels but this story really doesn't need to go onto a second season. I wish there were more single season shows.
That aside, I enjoyed it. It was getting a little bit ridiculous how this guy never got caught given how reckless he was, and they really did a bad job at making him the "bad guy" given he kept doing shitty stuff to other shitty people (I for one was happy to see both Benji and Peach go, though obviously they didn't deserve to die).
I got hooked though and binged it all over the weekend.

i understand they wanna freshen up and not keep making the same plot over and over again. but im not really feeling the new location or his new 'role'.

Yeah part 1 of Season 4 was okay.. Probably my least favorite (so far) of the 4 seasons. 1 being my favorite, of course. Then, 3 and 2.
With this new supporting cast, Joe/"Jonathan", REALLY IS the good guy.. not just seems like the good guy. I don't know how I feel about that because he's a goddam psycho.

Me & the woman finished season 4 last night.
I enjoyed the switch up this season. I get that it changes things up considerably. But I think if they followed the exact same formula, folks would get bored. After the way that season 3 ended, it's pretty necessary for Joe to keep it on the low.
But man, this twist was something else. The show is certainly hard to believe and goes to some wild extremes. But damn it if it isn't an entertaining ride.
I actually really liked a couple of the characters here better than those in previous seasons. And I would love to see the effects of the big twist hang around next season.
