Man, I forgot just how big Jim Carrey was at this time.

>11 Interview with the Vampire
>12 Maverick
>13 The Client

CROOZE apparently wasn't far behind Carrey. I don't know much about Cruise the man, but he's carved out a legendary career. Like he's still opening blockbusters today decades after he broke with Risky Business.

>25 Natural Born Killers

Haven't seen Mother, which seems it might be the closet parallel to NBK in the sense that their release was controversial. (although Mother much less so than NBK) But 1. Hollywood would never greenlight a movie like NBK nowadays and 2. likely the public wouldn't accept it.

Truly a different time.

>24 The Crow
For some reason I didn't think The Crow was this popular. Brandon Lee's death got a lot of pub back then but for some reason I thought it was just a cult movie.

>48 A Low Down Dirty Shame
>77 Sugar Hill
>89 Above the Rim

I'm surprised that A Low Down Dirty Shame did better at the box office than Sugar Hill and Above the Rim. I didn't see it until after it was in the theaters. But my friends and I all saw Above the Rim. I guess Above the Rim was more of a young folks movie than it seemed at the time. Dope soundtrack tho.

>51 The Shawshank Redemption
It's interesting that this movie has probably made more post-release from TV and cable than it did during its initial run.
