I actually saw this film over a year ago at TIFF and wondered what happened to it, it seems that Youtube Red or whatever it's premium service is picked it up and seems like there might be some small theatrical release this weekend (one theatre in Toronto).
It's 'about' Battle Rapping while dealing with race and whatnot, which I felt it handled reasonably well at the time. I kinda wonder whether it would feel different since then. The battle scenes are fun, its like an action film in a comedy waiting for a fight scene. It doesn't 'have answers' but it gets a laugh out of confronting things pretty head on (convincing the white guy just to say the n-word in conversation, etc). Think it's worth checking out if you can.
