"Happy Death Day 2U (Christopher Landon, 2019)"


          

Went to see Halloween again last night and the trailer for this played.

I was definitely laughing at the trailer and not with it. I guess anything can be a franchise these days. I'll post the trailer as soon as it's online.

I'm curious as to where it goes.

The first worked more as a horror comedy somewhere between Scream and Scary movie.

If they really have a clever story here and not just a rehash, it could be fun.

Groundhog Day with a slasher. That's about it.

Plus the reveal of the killer in Part 1 is spoiled in the trailer for Part 2.

It's fun, but it would have been more interesting if I hadn't already seen the trailer. You'll know exactly how it's going to go down, beginning to end.

I don't like the first one at all, but this one leaned heavily into the sci-fi aspect of the story and I was far more entertained by it.

Shame that the first one made a lot of money and this one didn't. I would like to see where the third one go. Especially with that mid-credits scene.
