"Madeline's Madeline (Josephine Decker, 2018)"

I don't have a ton of time, so I'll just say this: see it. It's a singular, artsy indie film with one of the best child performances you will *ever* see. It's a can't miss. Go. Now.

For an arty movie focused on an artform that comes across super pretentious, it was surprisingly entertaining. Moves along with a lot of energy. I had to struggle through some initial feelings like I was Hank Hill watching Bobby be Tartuf the Sly Wonder Dog:

But once some of the conflicts and motivations of key characters are revealed, I was on board.

Felt very bad for Miranda July's character, even though she's far from perfect.

I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.
