Sony has no clue what to do with this franchise. And Claire For is good actress, but not for this.

I hate Fede Alverez's last two films with a passion. And his reason for recasting the roles is insanely stupid.

She made the company spend a grip on getting the rights for the series, spent 3 years developing the other 2 OG books with Fincher and Zaillion only for her to be like nah fuck it.

I don't blame Tom Rothman for digging up this franchise and trying to fix his predecessor's mistakes, but Fede was the wrong choice.

The first film was solid and had an interesting structure to it that managed to fit in a whole bunch of character development without being boring or detracting from the primary plot.

Also, the Lisbeth Salander novels just fit Fincher's aesthetic.

I'll still give this film a shot (I enjoyed Fede Alvarez's previous film, Dont Breathe) but I can't but help that this franchise just downgraded a lot.
