pretty sure Dar was a separate thing so he's prob still locked up. But he's too good of an antagonist to leave locked up. The show needs a better villain than fake alex jones. I loved the first ep but now Im not sure where this is going.

i'm having some trouble with Carrie's motivation on all this, or how she even pays this crew she put together. I can't even remember why the fbi guy is on board
it seems like they're being sloppy about all of it, and then expect we'll forget once they fully pivot to the russia stuff
i'm hoping they can turn this around. i wasn't hyped early into last season, and it turned out pretty good

I got the impression that they were all forced out of work once the new President's purge began, so they were itching to get back into some sort of action together.

The two eps before this were kinda awesome but then... spoilers
how was Dante so heavily guarded and weakly guarded at the same time??
Saul talking about how he's the most important witness in the history of the universe, and there's not a single guard in his room or outside his room.
Meanwhile, the old man that was doing recon for the Russian guy tells him how it's fort knox in there and its impossible to get to him
So the Russian (shot out to Oleg from the Americans) shoots him to get inside... which turns out to make no sense, because all the Russian had to do was put on some scrubs. I'm sure he didn't need to do all that to snatch a proxy badge.
but again. WHERE ARE ALL THESE GUARDS?? it's not like the shooting victim was a diversion that drew them all away. he was just some guy in an ER
Why did he even need to get to Dante so bad? Dante had already given up the info that shut down the network. Was this a DeNiro in heat situation? He's risking pissing off his bosses, which i'm sure will draw heavy consequences, but what intel was there to gain?

Agreee with everything!

I'm guessing because he doesn't want him around to testify and legitimize the US claim that it was the Russians. Even though his network is broken, it would be better if the American people were unaware of it all.

I stopped way back at like episode 2 of the first season because the shit struck me as pretty blatantly anti-Muslim.
I know people were way into this show, especially the first few seasons, so maybe it just made a bad first impression.
Question: does it stay like that? I would be shocked if it kept that general tone of Muslim = Terrorist. That's how it seemed right off the bat and I couldn't hang.
I got to the big reveal of dude praying to Allah as a sign that he had crossed over to the dark side and I was like "NOPE."

the show has had it's share of likable muslim characters and even the bad guys tend to have a human side. idk though I'm not muslim so maybe I wouldn't pick up on things easily.

Like I said, people's whose taste I trust have praised the first few seasons of the show, so I wasn't totally writing it off. But the first couple episodes rubbed me the wrong way. It wasn't just me either; my wife was also mad raising her eyebrows at it. And neither of us are Muslim.
I didn't know if it was really taking it there with an anti-Muslim agenda, or if those first two episodes just got off on the wrong foot.
Maybe I'll give it another try one of these days. My first impression of a show has been misleading before. It took me almost a full year to really get into Game of Thrones. I initially stopped watching that show too after the first few episodes, because I thought they were going too heavy on that rape shit. But enough people were like "No, you *REALLY* need to stick with it."

I haven't seen the Israeli version but the premise is dude gets captured by Hamas and turned
I stayed with Homeland until S6 (can't stand Showtime's habit of extending shows well past their expiration date) and there's "regular" Muslims throughout the seasons (families, agents, students, etc)
