In that last FF movie he did

Geez they fooled me in most of those scenes. I could only tell it was CGI from the last scene and the one when they were all standing side by side, everything else fooled me

I understand that the honorable thing to do was to allow Brian's character to live but they screwed that movie and the sequels up as a result.

The CG was mostly convincing but that movie (and the franchise) would've been so much better if Brian died.

because the CG was passable enough that I can totally see Universal writing Brian back into the story if they get permission to use his likeness.

And the plot of Furious 7 would've been much better if Brian had died instead of the film callously flirting with the idea in-film. Deckard Shaw had already been established as a murderer who was out for revenge. That whole movie should've been Vin and the crew vs. Jason Statham....then they added entire subplot that really didn't matter.
