"Jonathan Demme - R.I.P."


          

Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme died Wednesday in New York of cancer complications, his publicist told Variety. He was 73 years old.

If it's possible to underrate a director with two amazing movies (Philadelphia and Silence of the Lambs), he may have been.

Also, his technique of having the actor look directly into the camera while they delivered dialogue was a remarkable technique.
