so you can get some sense of closure for the series. Watch the last two episodes and lemme know if that's the case. I'm curious if you're as down on those two episodes as I am.

Finished them last night...I was so mad the entire penultimate episode, thinking that the series was going to end on this dream/lucid guilt type thing.
Ultimately it wrapped up a little better than I thought, even though it was a bit interpretive at the end.
Not sure what I think he told Dannys son...if he told him the truth, the kid is likely going to live the same as the rest of the family, bitter and angry, but if he didn't tell him, then he's always going to wonder and can probably never move past it. Screwed either way.

Maybe Eric O'Bannon?
All these characters are idiots without many redeeming qualities.
I get that they are pretty much fucked because of some tragic chain of events that were in place before they were old enough to screw themselves up, but damn.

I dunno about that; the second season was beyond superb and was much better than the first season. I'm hoping this season was subpar on the possibility Netflix either pulled this show's plug prematurely or gave the show runners less episodes than what they were originally promised.
I don't want to say too much since I don't want to spoil anything for folks that haven't seen this season in completion, but it was a damn shame what the show did to Leguizamo's character in this last season. A complete and total disaster; they might as well have made him disappear than have him appear in this last season. I have other complaints as well, but I'll wait until more folks watch this season in full.

yep. came out of the gate strong with those first 2 eps picking up right where S2 ended.. then once the "5 Months Later" flashed onscreen, it just puttered on to its end. bit of a letdown.. (sissy spacek killed that scene on the witness stand though)

was originally supposed to go 5-6 seasons

*completely* agree. i hope leguizamo enjoyed the time in the keys at least..i have a hard thinking of a more pointless character

Five to six seasons? Wow, that sounds like an interesting length since so many of that characters were mired in complete depravity. I'm curious how that show would have went down for five seasons, much less six.

Agree with whoever above said the "5 months later" thing threw the whole thing off. I still think it could've ended fine but the second to last episode was a fucking total waste, which they could've used tying up some of the loose ends.
That second to last episode served zero purpose.
I didn't love the end end either, the last scene, but I think I would've been happier with it had they done a better job tying the rest of the storylines together.
The Meg storyline was stupid.
The Leguizamo storyline was MISERABLE.
But that last episode was actually pretty good. Think it just suffered from the hangover from that fucking awful, wasteful 2nd to last ep.
It was pretty hysterical when I looked this up on IMDB just now. Every single episode from all 3 seasons was like a 7.9 or above, then the last two were a 4.something and a 5.something respectively. Pretty sad/hysterical.

... the situation with the mother, which is one of the loose ends I was referring to above. Soooo ... did she cheat with Roy ? Or not ? If their death bed conversation was any indication, he *did* kill the guy like Kevin was saying ....

Roy killed a guy on the boat, and at some point mom had an affair with him. My question is who was it they killed on the boat? And was Roy the father of one of the kid?
