more excited for Season 4 than the trailer. Rebels trailers are always great but they don't give you much of an idea of the pace and direction of the season.

In the interview I saw he mentioned that the season starts out by concluding the Mandalorian story, then concluding the Saw Gererra story, and from that point on is essentially a season long arc about the rebellion, with each episode connected to the next. He specifically said that this season has the episodes in a very much consecutive order in stead of past seasons when many episodes were standalone.

I really hope the series ends with us seeing Rogue One from the perspective of the Ghost crew. I also think there will be a definitive end to the story of both Ezra and Kanan. I think they will either die, or if alive will no longer be fighting within the rebellion. As I've said in past threads, I think they are very well aware that it would be weird to have two Jedi alive out there during the Original Trilogy timeframe, fighting with the Rebel Alliance, without us seeing them.

There's that rumor that following the end of the series they might do one off animated movies with these characters and this was proof perfect to me that they could pull it off. That was fantastic

scene rescuing Sabine’s father - that was definite Indiana Jones vibes.

I had two main issues with this episode though. First - the fake out with them implying Sabine’s mom and brother were killed was kinda cheap, and robbed Sabine of some nice character development. Second, the ending with Sabine deciding to be “merciful” was kinda weird - she destroyed the weapon which ended up killing all of them anyway. Yeah I get that she stopped them from being tortured, but they just glossed over the fact that Saxon has that weapon explode in his face and that entire ship crashed into the planet which would have killed hundreds or thousands of imperials.

Definitely a Top 5 episode of this show, maybe even higher. And Dume as a follow up the same night was just perfect - I NEEDED that episode to process what happened in Jedi Night, and it was important to see all of the characters also processing it in their own way.

This needed to happen, and they handled it in the best possible way.

Honestly Filoni should run Lucas next to Kathleen. She's doing an amazing job but he leading the story team to flesh out the one giant time line and branches of stories and then having Kennedy Produce and execute the movies with him by her side while he is more hands on with the tv stuff is what should happen. It wont...but it should. They need to stop guessing each storyline per movie. while having tv just pick up the grunt work of mending them all together.

He shouldnt replace her ever, like idiots sometimes suggest on podcasts or youtube shows, he just doesnt have that experience yet to produce the way she does. Not even near her level yet but she should promote him and mentor him. He has the vision especially for Star Wars to map it all out and help execute with her. His hands should be on each Star Wars project way more than they currently are.

On the movies its like he'll just get asked certain things...where it should be that he should be asked for permission to do certain things. So he and the Story Group can make sure it all makes sense and work together in unison. I know they do that in theory but a project should start with them before it starts with the director and writers.

Ahsoka and Sabine travel the galaxy better be a motherfucking show/movie/multimedia event/anything. Goddamn that epilogue had me hype. And what an awesome nod to the Rex/RotJ theory.

Only thing I questioned... when the fuck did Kanan and Hera smang it out!?

Ahsoka/Sabine/Ezra. And the epilogue tying up what happened to the rest of the ghost crew was excellent. But as a series finale I felt like having a "cliffhanger" which is teasing what will come next took away from the story they were actually telling in the show.

I don't know. Maybe I'll feel differently when watching it again.

Seriously though, this show deserves more appreciation. Rewatching the marathon they had this weekend, it’s insane the plotting they have executed on an XD show. Feloni and Beck should legit be given the option to do a movie.

Is that it's a kids show and theres really no way for them to insinuate that in an episode while this is on in Disney. That's at least how I'm looking at it, I mean they couldve just always been smashing since their early novel before the show he was always lusting after her. So maybe it happened sometime this season off camera lol

I thought this ending was a perfect way to explain why Ezra and Kanan and even Thrawn arent around during Rogue One, A New Hope etc. I'm assuming Ezra and Thrawn are back in the outter worlds where Thrawn came from. Would love to see a show with them, Sabine and Ahsoka.

Second time through I saw the epilogue as what it was - an epilogue, and it didn’t feel like a cliffhanger taking away from the definitive ending that we saw with the celebration on Lothal.

And yeah...I think Zeb and Kallus might be a thing...

Cause as Sabine is speaking all that has happened which explains why Ahsoka looks old as she does.

So if they do continue that story of Sabine, Ahsoka, Ezra, Thrawn etc they will be set between Jedi and Force Awakens right?

Sabine and Ahsoka head off to find Ezra after Endor - maybe even after the Battle of Jakku. If that story continuation picks up there, then what were Ezra and Thrawn doing for the last 4-5 years?

Another point that I haven't seen anyone make is that if Ezra and Thrawn survived on that star destroyer out in deep space, then the rest of that Imperial crew on the star destroyer also likely survived. Maybe Ezra is being held in custody on Thrawn's ship? Or maybe he escapes in some way but he is still lost in deep space somewhere near Thrawn. I don't know.

I'm also wondering what Ahsoka was doing during that time. At first I thought she'd gotten off of Malachor immediately because there was another tie there from the inquisitors that were killed. But if she'd gotten off why wouldn't she have come back to help the Rebel Alliance and Luke during the OT? SO maybe she was still stuck on Malachor and Sabine found out somehow and saved her. Maybe Ahsoka was able to get back into the portal in the world between worlds to reach out to Sabine and tell her where she was. That would tie into what Sabine said in the epilogue about realizing what Ezra meant by "I'm counting on you"...Ahsoka could have told her that they need to find him (Ahsoka also promised Ezra that she would come find him).

It's pretty exciting if that story is between ROTJ and TFA because there's a ton we don't know about that time period. Was there contact with Luke? Snoke? Who knows. I can't wait though!

- Ezra’s last words to Ahsoka.

Dude knew.

I think she was stuck on Malachor. Can TIEs make the jump to lightspeed? Maybe she had a long trip.

The inquisitor ties could definitely jump to hyperspace. But they also could have been damaged when that temple blew up, leaving her stranded there, explaining why she didn't immediately show up with the Ghost crew or during the events of the OT.

So a falling apart staraship with no windows can travel through hyperspace indefinitely without...

A: Tearing apart at the seams
and
B: having its passengers freeze to death/suffocate?

I know its only a movie, but Leia Poppins was about to freeze to death in their cannon.

Really the question is how did Ezra and Thrawn survive. It's possible that Ezra would have made it to the door which was right there and then shut it to get a seal. He was in a stand using the force - it's possible that he was creating a force bubble to protect himself since he knew they were about to jump into hyperspace.

But according to Dave Filoni both Ezra and Thrawn survived, so he would have had to escape the arms of the space whales and made it to the door. It basically seems like for him to have survived Ezra would need to have helped him.

The rest of the crew on the ship would be safe from the vacuum of space though, as I mentioned above, so Ezra would have a big challenge on his hands.
