Surprised to not see a post for this.

Ran through 4 eps last night - it's really good. Not Stranger Things good, but few things are. It gives me a Stranger Things/Jessica Jones vibe with a hint of Lost I suppose. I have no idea where it's going but it's getting better every episode.

With the exception of Marling, the performances feel flat/wooden across the board. I was willing to look past that, but when we went back in time to Russia...ehhhh...

I was gonna try to give it another go, but hearing that it "doesn't stick the landing" makes me feel like it might not even be worth it.

I was fucking IN after the 3rd.

Also agreed some performances are lacking but holy shit is episode 3 a good one. I can't remember what happened in 2 so I don't wanna ruin anything but the villain is chilling.

.... It's a pretty interesting show and I honestly enjoyed most of it..... Looking forward to season 2....

This is not a show for everybody though..... Many people I see were let down by the ending

I like Britt. But the story and a good % of the other actors were pretty poor

But I can see how some people could not go with it.

It's weird TV that does strange thing. If you can get into the dancing, you can probably enjoy the ending.

Once again Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij make some "deep" sci-fi shit that's nonsense.

I'll never forget sitting through Sound of My Voice and listen to these two talk about the film and thinking fuck these hipsters. People asked them flat out if she's from the future and they said oh we know the answer, but that's something we won't answer unless we finish our trilogy or get to make out TV show.

Fuck you.

As a matter of fact this is just a soft remake of Sound of My Voice.

Their other movie The East sucked big time too.

Brit's stuff with Mike Cahill is better. Another Earth seems to be the strongest shit I've seen that she was lead in. I Origins is a fascinating film and would like to see the follow up I. I thought there was a lot interesting stuff explored in this especially the after credits scene.

But yea fuck this shit. If you liked it more power to you and I hope you enjoy future seasons and have a fruitful discussions. But this is trash to me.

Once I got into it you couldn't stop me from watching until the end.

And if you were that surprised by the ending then I am not sure why you had been watching up until that point because the hokiness was there from almost the beginning.
