I'm going to give the writers the benefit of the doubt on this one as they are clearly setting up S5. If they go back and touch on what Alice and Luther were doing between the end of S3 and beginning of S4 ...really explore their relationship through flashbacks, while pursuing this new baddy, it might actually make the snapshot of S4 worth it in the grand scheme of the story.

the chemistry between Alice and Luther and how their relationship developed was the whole point of the show. With her gone, it's just meh. Wasn't a terrible two-ep season--just pointless.
