One of my most anticipated of the year. Laika can do no wrong in my book. Taking off work early next Thursday just to see the first screening.

I didn't think anything was gonna beat Zootopia, but this did. Really great shit right here.

Sadly, like Pete's Dragon, niggas are gonna be disgusting and go see Suicide Squad instead.

On and the 3D is pretty good.

but everything I've seen relating to Kubo has really grasped my attention. Not to mention, I've seen a couple reviews that put it up on Coraline's pedestal quality-wise.

my son doesnt want to see this or Pete's Dragon. Im dragging him to one or both. He loves Paranorman so he might be into this one. Laika Films has been hitting nothing but homeruns lately.

Also might be the best movie I've seen so far this year. So imaginative, so beautiful, and *so* emotional. This movie is a multiple-Kleenex joint. Just fan-fucking-tastic. Exceeded my very high expectations.

ad I think the lack of Asian voice actors in the starring roles is jarringly disconcerting if not a showstopper

Loved the visuals, the pacing, the timelessness, the ending. On one hand I want it to make a billion dollars and on the other I want them to get dragged for the bullshit voice casting.

Good ass movie, though

my only complaints are Charlize Theron and Matthew McConaughey were awful choices. The story was great. Visually it was fucking beautiful. The score was perfect. Oh yeah the visuals were AMAZING! I cant imagine how long it took them to animate that water in the beginning. But yes go see this before it is out of theaters.

Why was the dad so dumb as his animal. That aspect was a bit convoluted, but the rest is flawless.

I went with my nephew so I'm going to let one of his comments afterwards sum up my feelings as well (in response to: what were your favorite parts and why): "I can't even give you a top 3 because every part was so good"

Loved it, the ending was so perfectly crafted. Bravo Laika.
