"The Walking Dead Season 6"

The premiere was actually pretty good and introduced a couple new characters to the show from the comics (Heath!) and really solidified Morgan as another leading character (which is great because Lennie James is fantastic).

I know I'm not the only one who caught the opener, what are we thinking about the new season?

excellent pacing. Loved the black & white effect on the flash backs. It really gave you the feel of the comic.
Hype that Morgan is back. (Lenny is the man!!!)
Caught the "I ask you answer...its common courtesy right?", which was a call back to what Morgan said to Rick when they first met.
Was also good to see Heath though I cant separate the actor playing him from his Dr Dre role. LOL! Great start to the season. Hope it keeps the pace up.

Muthafuckin Dre! lol yeah I noticed him too. Glad Lennie is back as a series regular. Morgan is a great character. Hopefully he doesn't suffer the same fate from the comics.

The Wolves. Remember they found dudes backpack with the pix of Alexandria. So they prob waited for Rick & company to leave on this mission & then they made their move. Be interesting if it was something or someone else though.

Nice mix of action, and loved how they paced the episode. We got to see what happened between the end of last season and the start of this season by black and white flashbacks. Felt like that was very well done and made for no real dull moments.

The threat, the plan, and that horn at the end. Can't wait to see how the rest of this season goes. Scott Gimple was the best thing to happen to this show.

Was actually a bit bummed to see Carter eat it... he was a shithead, but I'm all about redemption stories and it seemed like he came around.

Hilarious though how Rick & Co. all showed up conveniently at the perfect moment, without even a reason as to why they were there (at least he was getting flares when that one chick was there).

Same like the poster above, cannot unsee Dr. Dre.

Lotta characters in the show now... suspect a big culling of the herd soon, especially since there weren't any major deaths at the end of last season.

there may not have been a lot of good options (burning them would draw too much attention and probably wouldn't work anyway), but setting them free and attempting to lead them on a 30-mile trek was without doubt the worst one. if literally anything goes wrong-- say you run up on another group of people unexpectedly or a bunch of deer run across the road or a loud horn goes off nearby for some reason-- you just set off a nuclear bomb in your backyard.

and best case scenario, you succeed in walking them 30 miles away from alexandria, but you're always gonna be walking them towards someone else. you're setting a football stadium full of walkers loose, who cares how far away they are? the unintended consequences are infinite.

the days they spent building up that RV wall at the crossroad could've been spent building up the tractor trailer wall that was keeping the walkers in the pit, and given the group some time to think up a better way to dispose of them. but rule number one is DO NOT LET THEM OUT.

It seems there's so much that could go wrong. I wish they had just given a cursory mention to burning the shit outta them, because that seems like such an obvious solution. Like the quarry floor won't burn or no fuel or whatever. Herding zombies just seems so difficult for the sake of difficulty.

the noise from the construction would attract ALL of the walkers towards that area at one time. Single walkers were already getting through and that much of a push could've also freed the megaherd at once.

little by little and just killed them in small groups. Figure out a way to lead small groups of them out and kill them as they come. do a certain number each day. have shifts of walker killing groups working to kill all of them everyday and widdle it down to nothing.

would've take a lot of time but still a better option.

I really thought they were going to show what was going on in Alexandria then the last 2 minutes was the attack. You know this show loves building shit up. But nope went right into the shit. Maybe in episode 3 we get a Rocky style montage of Rick and the crew teaching whats left of the residents to shoot and defend themselves.

Come on.

Fear's first season is much better than TWD's first season... the same season that got critically panned despite high ratings, leading Darabont to fire his entire writing staff.

Not trying to convince you to like Fear, but applying the same standards to the two shows at this point is being disingenuous.

But I definitely do agree, this was a killer episode. Loved the barest acknowledgment between Carol and Morgan at the end. Each bad asses but in very different ways. And by splitting the episodes, solid way to avoid paying the entire cast, hah.

As much as a cash cow as this show has been for AMC, I highly doubt they split the cast up to avoid paying them. These first two episodes looked very very expensive to me, and I doubt AMC care too deeply as long as the show continues to break ratings records. Not saying I'm the hugest fan of the show myself, but it does numbers.

but budget was an issue for the first 3-4 seasons. It has been the top viewed series on cable since it aired. But the budget is too damn high talks always came out every single year. I want to say around season 2 or 3 one of the executive notes was maybe instead of always seeing zombies we can hear zombies.

That's the perfect reason to split the actors via episode. If not necessarily the writing, then definitely in editing. For example, Greg Nicotero on Talking Dead spoke about how they had a bigger makeup crew than usual, and they were working nonstop through the entire shoot. By the time they were done applying makeup, they were starting to get extras that were coming in to get the makeup removed.

Just because the show is a cash cow doesn't mean they have an unlimited budget.

But that was better than the death Glenn had in the comics in my opinion. Makes me wonder how Negan is going to catch wreck when he eventually rears his head.

Even if it was Nick being ate at the moment, how does he get out of that situation? He's surrounded by a horde of walkers who smell blood. He was visibly out in the open so how do they explain the walkers conveniently eating around Glenn? It makes no sense and if he somehow survives, the walkers are no longer a major threat.

The scene violated the 180 rule. Dude shot himself towards the right side of his head. When camera pans to Glenn....blood splatters in from the right side of his head. Guaranteed that was not an accident.

Also, Glenn's intestines came from his chest. No way those makeup fx nerds would allow that.

I hope he is dead for reasons different from the rest of you guys. I've gotten to a point with tv and movies where, when the main character(s) get into trouble the suspense is numbed for me because I am always like "Oh they aint gone let HIM die!" I just wish they would sometimes.

*obvious spoilers if you haven't seen it*

Glenn didn't get the elegant death scenes that Tyreese and Sasha's boyfriend did. For such an important character (the first S1 character to die since Andrea in S3 or S4) the disparity feels significant. Of what significance? I have no idea.

There were also no witnesses to his death, so conceivably the group will be in a Sophia Situation, where they're constantly on the search for him (or his body) until there's closure.

Besides all that though, Glenn's death means that not every Main Character is going to get a huge build up to his death... it helps the show feel "dangerous" again, especially since a major character hasn't died in some time.

Of course this is all assuming he's actually dead... but I think it'd be safe to assume he is.

Edit: If you saw Gimple's response to "Is Glenn still alive?", I think there's also a possibility that Glenn will live on... in the form of a pregnant Maggie.

One of the things that imho kept Walking Dead from having the impact that Game of Thrones has with deaths is how they have this buildup towards it and then the characters mourn and eulogize all in the same show. They let the audience make peace with the character leaving the show and as a result it doesn't have that same visceral punch that a post apocalyptic story should have where death is 'cheap' except when its beloved characters.

We constantly see characters have random senseless deaths (how did that zombie get right behind dude!) that at some point you would think some of our heroes would have to befall the same fate.

I had two episodes in the can I heard that a major character would die. The episode had the arc you were discussing before where they build up one character and I was sure Carol was about to bite it.

Like someone said earlier, this show is a fraud if he doesn't die. They've already wasted time with him laying there screaming and no walkers have swiped at his face. I like his character, but for the show to remain unpredictable, that has to happen.

If it was Michonne in the same situation, she'd have to go too..

Chuck D's list of 15 reasons why Tupac is still alive, lol

But even if reason #2 was the case, how long could that realistically last? He'd have to lay perfectly underneath Nicholas' steadily diminishing body, and have to hope a random grasping hand doesn't grab one of his limbs.

It's the cast photos for this new character that gives the strongest credence to him surviving though. If so, I'll reserve judgement until I see how they tell that story, but I don't care how Tyreese-like this dude is, that was an impossible situation for Glenn. I hate to see the only Asian cat die, but if this is the story they wrote, they need to stick to it.

would have been better served if it aired before the infamous "Is he...is dead?!" Glenn Raekwon Killer Tape episode from last week. Shame this episode isn't appreciated because the acting and cinematography was stellar, but it was pretty jarring from the high of last week's episode.

Like I said before, the acting and the way the episode was shot was top notch, but I'm certain most of the folks watching didn't care about Morgan's character given last week's cliffhanger. Not only did it not deal with what occurred last week, but it was a complete dissonance in terms of the fast paced action from the prior week. This episode would have been more effective if it aired right after Morgan resurfaced since there was more intrigue around the character then.

SPOILER HERE for folks that don't want to read since this mentions the comics, but I was impressed with last night's episode since none of this backstory was written into the comics and normally Kirkman's writing is far superior than the writing for the show.

but like you said this was so well done. A few minutes in I realized we werent going to get any questions from last week answered and I was okay with it. Because Morgan is such an interesting character. But it doesnt seem like it is over. Seems like its going to drag into next episode and if we gotta wait 3 weeks to find out what happens I am going to be pissed.

Similar to the episode when Michonne and Rick encountered him in the depths of his depression.

A bit of a tease next to what happened last week, but (I think) it also means that Morgan is on the show for the long haul, which is a great thing.

Creepy scene with the Wolf at the end too... I stopped reading the comics long before this (around issue 80 or so, shortly after the Governor) so this is all new to me. Pretty interesting take on another faction so far.

SPOILER RESPONSE

THIS CONTAINS INFO FROM THE COMICS

Given the peaceful methods Morgan has adopted, it would make total sense for Negan to kill him to mark his grand entrance to the show. If that indeed does occur, I could see that happening for the season finale to serve as a proper cliffhanger for whenever the show returns.

... it would not have as hard an emotional punch as if its Darryl or Michonne. In the comic Glenn's death was a serious punch to the gut. I think the only way to have that similar feeling was for one of the main four to go. (Rick, Michonne, Darryl, or Glenn) And now that Glenn is already dead...

that means he won't appear in this block of episodes that are currently on air. I would guess he'll appear for the cliffhanger season finale for the next block of episodes for next year. Can't say I'm surprised since it's in AMC's best interest to stretch the material out as much as possible.

zombie juices from them being smashed up against the wall?

i liked this ep a lot because it focused more on the original alexandrians and how they are coming into a survival mentality and also shows how important the place is to rick and maggie in that they have to think about the future and having their kids grow into adults and have their own offspring etc

a bleak world no doubt but one still with life

isn't it more satisfying the more they veer AWAY from the comics?

isn't the not knowing what's going to happen kind of exciting?

or does satisfaction only come from things happening in the way you already know they will? where's the surprise/joy/wonder in that?

It's so silly. Teasing a major character dying in an impossible situation then dragging it out this long feels like how bad they botched the Sophia thing. "Surprise! She's a zombie!" is now "Surprise! He's alive!" It's contrived suspense, but made even worse because the situation is resolved almost a month later.

Also, Enid is annoying and inexplicable.

They built a false tension by delaying the resolution for so long. It's fine having the excellent Morgan episode right after to let everyone catch their breath as it were, but by following that episode with two filler episodes it deflated all sense of suspense.

In other words, the longer it dragged out, the longer the expected outcome shifts to the other side... just like the Sophia situation. The longer they dragged their feet, the less reason the audience has to expect that she's actually alive (or in this case, that Glenn is actually dead).

And now if and when something happens to Glenn (apparent comic spoilers even though I've never read this far in the comics, they just happen to be all over the place in this TV thread), the emotional impact that should be there is completely replaced by eye-rolling because it was wasted on an earlier false death for no reason.

That still holds true if they decide to off another major character via _______'s bat, because now the audience is expecting it since we were "cheated" out of that death earlier on.

It's awful storytelling and awful writing. I am more than willing to overlook a lot of stuff with this show, but this is disappointing. Not about to stop watching because I'm so invested, but it just makes every tense scene going forward really lame.

I had this whole scenario drawn out..

After Darryl and 'nem steal the gas truck, they go back and find Glen. They hear him screaming from under the hoarde of walkers and either plow through them with the truck, or distract them enough for him to get away.

Iono....that sounded better that what actually happened.

With that said...yes...if they don't stay true to the comics (I don't read them, but based off of what all of yall have said about Lucille), then I will have one less show to watch.

Zombies don't need to eat and they don't need to drink. It's been long established that if they sense prey, they literally won't stop coming after it. Maybe some fringe zombies get distracted (by what?), but the ones near Glenn would still be attracted by whatever it is attracting the ones closest to Glenn.

And even if Glenn was able to stab the ones near his hands (which is a stretch in itself... if they're reaching with their hands why is their head in range? And if their head is in range, shouldn't their hands be too?), how is he going to get the ones near his legs? How does he rotate underneath the trash without exposing a limb? All it takes is grasping an extremity and a quick bite to the shin or forearm then he's done for.

There's just way too many easy ways for Glenn to die in that situation. I was half expecting him to reveal a small bite at the end of the episode, which would allow the rest to eulogize him, a la Bob and Tyrese. But coming out of THIS:

https://embed.gyazo.com/b8cc656477ee9f34858f8540fe0a37b2.gif

scott free? Come on bro.

just because a comic book story is source material, doesn't obligate TV producers to mimic it note for note. sheesh. i can't believe people would even want that.

I mean, even Marvel, who makes films based on their OWN comic franchise, deviates in significant ways from their own stories.

visual, live-action storytelling is it's own thing. if you want what's in the comics, read the comics.

this show has clearly chosen not to go that route so to go back now would be pointless. i do think that a step by step recreation of the comic would have made a good show though...this just isn't that show.

Like I said, I don't read them, so I wouldn't know if they did or didn't.

But I hope they DO mimic the comics in regards to Negan, Glenn, and Lucille.

>just because a comic book story is source material, doesn't
>obligate TV producers to mimic it note for note. sheesh. i
>can't believe people would even want that.

I don't need them to mimic the source material's story.

When I wish the show was more like the comic, I'm referring to the dramatic aspects of the story such as tension. In the comic there is a constant feeling that ANY character can die at any moment.

I don't need the show to handle Glenn like the comic. But the show resorted to the same tired cliche of every show where a main character isn't really in danger. Which ruins other parts of the show. For example when Maggie is climbing the ladder with zombies chasing her, I wasn't worried at all. Just like "*yawn...ok just move on, y'all ain't gonna kill her anyway."

That doesn't happen in the comics.

So when I compare it to the comics, my point is that when a drama is no longer dramatic and devoid of tension, it ceases being interesting.

This show is starting to get repetitive and boring
I needed the Glenn thing to be real for the show to prove it still has it's edge
Him being a-ok was cheap as shit
I'm hoping they make up for it in some twist of fate way...like killing off maggie next episode
So far this season has been underwhelming
Two filler episodes , the Glenn cheese, predictable cycle of events ....meh
I hope FTWD tries to explore some new/unfamiliar zombie apocalypse issues

But im pretty much done. Its a good show but its the same thing over and over. The whole "is glenn dead" being drawn out for ratings kinda put the nail in the coffin. Not that im important, itll still get massive ratings. There are better shows out there now.

These are all pre-season 2 links (except for the reddit one) so careful about spoilers from season 1, but in a nutshell going into this new season there was a lot of high praise.

Now that we're 8 episodes in? Everything's lived up to the hype.

You Should Be Watching The Leftovers: In Season 2, HBO’s series gets hauntingly good.
http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/television/2015/10/the_leftovers_season_2_from_damon_lindelof_on_hbo_reviewed.html

The Leftovers season 2 is more accessible without giving up what makes the show great
http://www.vox.com/2015/10/2/9438515/leftovers-season-2-review-hbo

And every week on /r/television someone puts up a new post advertising The Leftovers to try and get more people to watch (click the link just for the first comment but again, avoid spoilers).

https://www.reddit.com/r/television/comments/3ty445/the_leftovers_quietly_becoming_one_of_the_best/

Here's my pitch (I was thinking of creating a new post in PTP, but fuck it I'll put it here):

The premise of The Leftovers resembles the Rapture: millions of people disappear in an instant, with no explanation of how or why or where they went. Or who was chosen. How do people cope?

The show is an exploration of how people deal with grief and loss and the unexplainable. About how broken people try to be whole again. Does a person's belief system change or become even more entrenched?

The first season was polarizing because The Leftovers can be a difficult show to watch. As can be expected in the aftermath of the Sudden Departure, the characters experience emotionally crushing events. Nihilism, self-destruction and violence are common. The first few episodes in particular are like this, and the world building includes a lot of inexplicable events that have no easy answers. I stuck it out to give the show an honest chance, but I didn't feel good about it. It felt like I needed to take a shower after each episode because I felt so dirty (and I'm not squeamish by nature). But once the various entities are in motion and their motivations come into focus, I was entranced. It's one thing to see a person so beaten down, you cannot imagine anything worse. But then they stand up.... and move forward.

It's these raw depictions of humanity, both good and bad, that make The Leftovers so compelling. Season 1 has been described as a post-9/11 show, about people dealing with searing pain and loss. Season 2 can be thought of as a post-post-9/11 show, when the Sudden Departure is far enough in the past that people have started to move on and rebuild their lives... but are still vulnerable with the notion of another Departure.

S1 can be uneven in spots when the viewer is still trying to grasp the world but the last few episodes are mind blowing in tying everything together. I was already on board by that point but I was very impressed at how they answered a lot of questions. Season 2 however, has been compelling from the very first minute. Maybe it's from no longer being tied to the book (S1 is wholly set within Tom Perotta's book), but the acting and writing have been incredible. I cannot speak highly enough about this season, and each episode has been must-be-on-the-couch-at-6pm good.

I would recommend this show to anyone who wants a challenge, who enjoys when moments linger in your head days after watching it (maybe posting this in TWD post isn't the best idea?). Its ambiguity is a strength, the questions it asks are compelling and the themes of sudden loss are especially poignant with the real world events happening around us. It's not a show for everyone, but if it is for you, you will not regret watching it. Just browse the subject lines of the S2 post... there is a lot of surprise at just how good this show has been. And many already felt Season 1 was spectacular, but it was a commitment. Season 2 will pay off that commitment with dividends and more. I fully expect the show to get large critical acclaim once awards season is underway.

and Sling TV offering free HBO for the Thanksgiving weekend, I'm up to the sixth episode of the first season. How solid are the ratings for the show? It's top notch, but I could see it floundering since it's a pretty oddball show. It does a good job with the storytelling; slowing revealing information bit by bit in terms of what the hell is going on, but at the same time it isn't too out there.

It's ticked up these past few weeks, but (IIRC) it's about 500k-750k shy of the ~1.5-~1.6mm per episode of the first season.

A big factor though is that S1 debuted at the start of summer, while this season it opened in fall, against a difficult slate. There's a growing campaign to plead with HBO to renew the show for at least a third season.

The good news is that the show doesn't seem expensive to produce and that HBO has a history of supporting critically acclaimed shows that aren't ratings hits. Ideally word of mouth and the awards season push viewership numbers once the season is over.

Also, I need to stop watching this before TWD. Such a contrast in styles, hah.

It's a tough show all around in terms of appeal. I can't imagine trying to get someone else into the show by describing it verbally since on paper it sounds like nonsense, especially since it isn't explained how the people vanished. It all comes down to seeing how well executed the show is.

And to be honest, I think I'm a part of the low ratings myself because I'm not sure I want to spring for the $15 bucks to see the last episode or two for this current season. The free trial for HBO ended on Monday and so far I'm up to the second episode for the second season. I don't see myself watching anything that HBO is currently offering once the second season ends, so I'm on the fence in terms of springing for HBO Now.

I want to sing the praises of The Leftovers from the rooftops to anyone who might listen but it's definitely a hard sell. Some people just don't want to think about their TV shows.

When I do try to sell it though, I bring up Children of Men and The Walking Dead as examples of "here's the unexplainable premise, and this is the world they explore". The show isn't about answers, it's about the questions they're asking of the characters and of the viewers. It's not a show for everyone.

But yeah if you don't watch anything else on HBO I'm not sure it's worth it if you're only two episodes in (although Bill Maher and John Oliver are still great, nothing else is in season at the moment). The last episode is this Sunday and there are a number of threads to tie together. This IS a Damon Lindelof show so we'll see how it goes, but honestly this season has been so good I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here.

After it airs though I'll let you know if finishing the season is worth the $15, hah.

http://headlineplanet.com/home/2015/12/02/ratings-hbos-the-leftovers-reaches-season-high/

RATINGS: HBO’S “THE LEFTOVERS” REACHES SEASON HIGH
BY BRIAN CANTOR

Sunday's "The Leftovers" was the best-performing episode of the season.

Per Nielsen cable data, Sunday’s “The Leftovers” was the highest-rated and most-watched episode of the second season.

The episode, which was the season’s penultimate installment, drew a 0.40 adults 18-49 rating and 861,000 total viewers.

Series highs, the numbers comfortably best the 0.32 rating and 696,000 viewership mark drawn by the previous week’s episode.

Though the best of season two, the performance remains a far cry from what the show delivered throughout its first season. No season one episode drew fewer than 1.38 million total viewers.

Not saying you should spend $15 for part of a single show, but maybe torrent it or something to finish it off. It's worth going out of your way to finish the season.

I think I'm going to buy or rent the season digitally because I got caught torrenting HBO shows more than once in the past, and I don't want to take that chance again. The second season from what I saw so far looks pretty interesting. I'll probably finish up somehow this weekend somehow, legally or illegally.

why I stick with this thing. Curious if anyone has similar feelings. Like, I find myself feeling that this show really fucking sucks once every two or three episodes.

Aside from a handful of characters, the acting is really bad (IMO).

The rinse and repeat storylines are ridiculously grating. The writing is lazy more often than not (IMO).

Shit is corny. Probably on purpose but whatever. It gets real cringeworthy too often.

Seems like they're dragging this thing on to milk the cash cow. Dedicating entire episodes to a character or two that the viewer is not totally invested in (based on previous shitty writing) is just kind of weird.

Does this thing ever pick up (never read the comics, don't intend to)? Is progress ever made? Or are they running around forests in the south forever?

Two of you with guns... Both of them are "trained" enough that they should not be able to miss at the distance. I think both of them (or at least fine ass Rosita) should be able to easily pull off a head shot from that distance. By the time he even realizes the trigger has been pulled, the bullet will have already passed through his skull and be lodged in the wall behind him... He would not obviously not have time to do ANY harm to that girl he's got the knife to . But you give him your guns? So now... he not only can he kill the girl, but he can also kill both of you (and Carol and Morgan)...

That's the dumb shit that I fucking hate.

no one ever bothered to tie his FEET. He could have strangled glasses chick like ten times over before Carol showed up.

Then on top of that, he just asked for the guns but for some reason Eugene also gives up his machete. Why, bro? (that might be a Eugene thing, but still)

Consequences. And on some real shit Tara wasn't really all that trained of a marksman in the first place. Rosita maybe. But regardless that's still a risky ass shot.

Blaming anyone besides Morgan for that is just off to me

There is not way in hell you give that dude your guns.
It's plot induced idiocy.

Rosita shouldn't have taken the risk that he could easily kill all of them with guns vs the knife, I agree. But it's obviously a plot moved to create a cliffhanger about her fate. It is what it is. U gonna bail based on that tho?

When that dumbass dude got stuck crawling across that rope.

If she could nail those shots, she could've gotten that wolf.

Unless the show is trying to say she was nervous after that kiss her and the doctor shared.

Either way, it's a tired plot point.

but they were shook...it's understandable. They're not the most thorough members of the group. This is all Morgan's fault.

Carol would have taken the shot though.

No way it gets better after last night's ep. Will we be saying farewell to Morgan soon?

I've been expecting a showdown between Morgan and Rick, not Morgan and Carol.

I hope that's still the case. The expected outcome would be Carol accusing Morgan of his escape, Rick sides with her, setting up Morgan vs Rick.

The zombie tension these past few episodes have felt so contrived, maybe the show needs some interpersonal conflict to liven things up.

they wouldn't keep it in the cab of that truck. They probably didn't expect to run into a biker gang on the road back.

In response to Reply # 0

obviously they completely botched the glen thing, dragging it out for a month. but it's getting annoying that the only way they can seem to manufacture any drama these days is to have what we've established is the world's most efficient and competent group of zombie killers suddenly turn clumsy and stupid.

was there anything in alexandria that didn't get tripped over this week? were the streets suddenly covered in banana peels? the wall came down, and suddenly nobody could get off the ground fast enough to get away from these things that are WALKING SLOWLY towards them. nobody can get to their houses in the, what, FIVE or so minutes that it would've taken the horde to WALK SLOWLY from the downed wall to the nearest building.

and it sucks that the nurse got a knife to her neck, but there's five other people in the room, and you almost certainly kill every single one of them by not taking that shot and instead handing your guns over to the crazy guy. take the shot, you idiots.

it's just amazing to me that TWD suddenly can't figure out how to get any drama out of these hundred or so characters without forcing them to do the dumbest or clumsiest thing possible to move the plot along. it's amazing that they can't figure a way for them out of alexandria other than to recycle the season one zombie guts trick that only begs the question: WHY DON'T THEY DO THIS LITERALLY EVERY DAY, EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY GO ANYWHERE ZOMBIES MIGHT BE?

oh, and as someone who hasn't read the comics, the name neegan means absolutely nothing to me. name-dropping a guy i don't care about isn't the way to tease the midseason premiere. we've got five seasons of mostly goodwill built up here, so i'm coming back regardless. but they're really, really pushing it.

Mm hmm.

Yep. The writers only seem to want to use it when they've painted themselves into a corner.

Preach.

I know who Negan is, and even with that, the tag was stupid as fuck.
