"Favorite ensemble child acting perfomances"

My top 3 off top

Goonies is one of if not the best and a lot of those kids went on to have good, even great careers.

Stand By Me - great movie and great performances. I think River could have been huge but then again he could have been Christian Slater, will never know.

It - Im doubting the remake can be anywhere close to the miniseries but hopeful. The kids had a lot to do with it, along with Tim Curry. Forgot all about Seth Green was young Richie. RIP Jonathan Brandis

City of Men was impressive because the actors actually went through puberty and the show handled them maturing in a believable fashion. Most American TV shows fail miserably when male actors mature from that pubescent age to becoming teens.

City of Men was the series. City of God was the movie about the drugs and violence in the favelas.

The kids in the City of Men series and film were much much tamer than the children in City of God. From what I remember, the violence that occurred in City of Men came from teenage drug runners and the adult police force, but I could be wrong since it's been at least five or so years since I watched those DVDs.

Henry Thomas gave a great performance as Elliot but also Drew and C Thomas Howell held it down. Kind of a kid ensemble interacting with the alien.

I also liked Super 8 for what it was, good throwback to those 80s Spielberg movies and the kids were good in it.

the vast majority of "Our Gang" comedies made between mid-1930 and mid-1938 (which, unfortunately, drove one the series' key creatives, director Robert McGowan, nuts having to deal with not just a bunch of kids, but their parents as well).

They don't have huge amounts of screen time, but there's not really a bad performance among any of them. In either movie, really.
