Is anyone else in? I enjoyed season 1 immensely. I liked the story enough and thought the performances were good. Even Josh Hartnett.
Season 2 has gotten off to a promising start with Ethan admitting to Vanessa that he's not quite what he seems, Brona becoming Mrs. Frankenstein, and Madam Kali turning into the big bad for season 2.

I have a feeling that Madam Kali is going to be a good big bad for this season. She's into some stuff with with the babie guts inside of dolls. Very creepy indeed. And I think we all know this thing with Frankenstein, John Clare and Brona/Lily is NOT going to be good.

So this is the episode where everyone gets it on...except for Chandler and Ives. I really need them to do something with Dorian Gray. He has no storyline right now. They need to either integrate his storyline into the main story or get rid of him. Cause it's really adding nothing to the narrative.
Sir Malcolm falling for the okey doke. I'm disappointed in him. I wonder how this is going to play out. Is she going to brainwash him?
Victor. Victor, Victor, Victor. That is NOT a good idea. Sleeping with your "cousin" (No INKAST-O) will have both Frankenstein's monster AND a werewolf after you.
Speaking of which didn't Vanessa meet Brona in season 1 when Ethan, Dorian, Vanessa, and Brona went to the theater? Why doesn't she recognize Brona now? Or am I misremembering that scene from season 1?
A grown up people show that never disappoints me. Every episode is solid so far this season. I think Sir Malcom didn't have a choice. That little prick she gave him with that ring was full of that witch prescription Viagara. Victor deserve a whooping for that. The monster will probably end up falling for the blind girl from the wax museum.I also thought that Ms Ives had met her ( The cousin when she was w/ wolf boy) too. What is the motive behind killing ( Or at least tormenting her to death) Malcom's wife? Yeah Dorian Gray needs to be a little more active in the show, being the gay eye candy is not enough.Next Sunday should be good.

This season started off slow but it's really moving now IMO. Victor continues to play with fire taking Brona out into the world. Ethan let Sembene see his true self. Lord Malcom is UNCONCERNED with his wife's death. Dude was like, "I've got to have the carpet replaced." I was expecting more with the witches going for Vanessa at the ball. I felt the tension in that scene as they mad their way towards her, then blood started to rain down and the suspense was lost.

I don't think it's about him being on his high horse per se. I think he wants to protect her because she's never killed before and once you do it (in that world), there is no turning back.

When she went with that dude, I was thinking, "Homegirl is starting to revert to her prostitute persona. Latent memories coming to light." Then she started choking dude! I think that is something she's always wanted to do with all the men she was with. That inner rage had been building and now it's coming forth. But what is Dorian's end game. He obviously knows something is amiss with Brona. I assume he knows she died. So how is he gonna play this?

LOL Angelique got Blue Bearded. I did not understand the point of that character. I guess it was to show that Darian can turn homicidal when his secrets are busted

Right. Her putting it on him came out of nowhere based on how she acted prior to this episode. Don't forget that Ethan's gonna have words with Victor when he finds out about Brona. So make that three folks.

I think at that moment, she truly wanted someone to share her life with. She may have started off scheming, but at some point, she figured he would be a good companion.

This show always makes me feel sad at the end of the season because it always seem too short, even though they always pack it real nice with a pretty little bow of horror on top.The last 2 episodes were the best television had to offer anywhere IMHO. They killed off one of my favorite character though. Surprised but not surprised. It ended almost like a series finale instead of a season finale. They better be back next year.

It's a missed opportunity IMO. I was looking forward to a flashback in Africa with stories of mysticism peppered with real life historic facts of the horrors of colonialism and slavery ( Definitely asking for too much)
The rest; Dorian Grey and Cousin Dorna was so beautiful. Victor got put on notice.
I did not get Mr Chandler's motivation to not go with Vanessa. At one point he wants to protect her and the other he's afraid to. Hoping Hecate makes him her Lupus Dei.I need the drama.
Mme Kali ,You made this season a delight. Wolfie made a Pez dispenser out of her head. she'll be missed but looks like number 2 will take over and will try and recruit Mr Chandler, hopefully before they make it Stateside.
My favorite character on the show Mr Clare; I think that became predictable, I was wishing for something more, from the time they dragged him in that cage we knew there was no way that could contain him. He was just humoring them and they got theirs for thinking they were in charge. I was hoping blind girl would stop being a douche but helas... at that point it didn't matter whether she lived or died.That last scene with Vanessa was beautiful and sad.
Now I have to wait for the Strain to comeback.

Not only did Sembene die. WTF? It kind of ended with a whimper. Very disappointing. It picked up during the middle of the season. Building momentum. Only to end on a blah note. The stuff with Caliban was good. I'm not sure what to make of Lily/Brona and Dorian Gray though.
