I kinda love the show. In general its procedural. But they been going strong on the main story for pretty much the whole season now. Shit's getting raw as fuck.

i gotta rewatch the episode where they intoduce him cause i forget how that whole thing with him works....
i also loved him talking with the guy throughout the episode and that guy realizing a few times over that he really doesn't know who he's dealing with in a few regards...
he doesn't know Control (she checked him QUICKLY) he doesn't know the kid (tried to push that to the side only to later realize the kid is legit) he doesn't know SAM he doesn't know Team Machine....

the other thing i was confused about was whether controls hit guy when she's like i know you let shaw live, that wasn't at the stock exchange right because control didn't know about the stock exchange. i feel like i remember that happening but don't remember the circumstances.

yup. i can't confirm that the one camera phoning was the same person running through the park, but they made a distinct albeit brief cut to her and from the side i thought it was shaw.

samaritan could see value in her (she's basically a second martine if she acts right) - i know sarah shahi is gone for a minute with twins & what not, but i could def see her back in some capacity in the future.

that was the episode where the number was an art thief guy shaw got sorta caught up with.

i'm guessing whatever finch got last ep is going to get them back in the game, but with everyone on the otherside going after each other they don't really have any motivation other than the revenge bit. they can't even get numbers anymore. ultimately they are just the nuisances that know too much and have enough skills to actually be a problem, except no one can ever find them.

isnt' system offline. samaritan checkmated it. that's the whole reason they had to hack their way back in.

there are so many characters and storylines going on calling it batman with two people is just...
i won't pretend like it's the hallmark of television or anything like that, but its far more clever than you make it out to be, even when it was just doing procedural shit. but now that the stakes are changing, it's really doing something which can't easily be referenced to other shows.

...i mean, CBS has more than a few shows you can like and watch, but the episodes are mostly forgettable...i've seen a bunch of NCIS LA episodes, but i couldn't tell you the plot to 95 % of them, same with Criminal Minds... and Blue Bloods
...i wonder if folks lump this show in with those shows sometimes...not saying that that poster did, but i bet it happens....
it's definitely isn't simle to follow or dumb, but everyone is entitled to their opinion

The show is shallow - while pretending to be deep-ish.
I notice it, but I let it pass.
It started out more like the equalizer, now it's going into a long story arc about how the AI's will compete.
I prefer this story arc to say one about a serial killer who builds models of murders before he commits them, or homicidal lawyers who continually escape from jail, or any of the other story arcs similar procedural shows go through.

it pulled a buffy, angel started out shallow changed direction and got deep
some people seem to understand this while its happening and many will have that buffy angel moment after the series end its okay
i watch alot of cbs shows as well and this and elementary are definitely striving for a bit more i dont think they are failing

mainly because as a procedural it was definitely in the same mold. but the reason i stuck with it was because of the underlying thread which was this coming of age story for ai. now that they've more or less foregone the procedural (the set up for it doesn't even exist any more) and that thread is the main story it's ultimately showing what's separated it from the rest.
i'm not saying there isn't a lot of bullshit, or that it's necessarily believable, but ultimately we're getting close to a singularity point and if you compare it by example with the movie form singularity stories of last year... lol this shit is much much better at getting there and maybe in fact more believable.
i'm not trying to convince anyone, but i will defend the fact that it did what it needed to get here and i'm glad that it did.

seriously, they need to either cut him loose, or tell him the full story. they can't keep asking him to help on blind faith. i think he has more than proven himself.
