>Marvel spent since 2008 developing a shared universe, with >SHIELD and The Avengers, and they were no where to be seen >when one of their own, Tony Stark no less, has his house >destroyed and disappears. >
I'm assuming this takes place the same time as Winter Soldier, so yeah S.H.I.E.L.D. ain't coming to help anyone. And yea, Thor had his hands full too. With that said the only guy who'd be able to help out in any of the three films is Banner. And we all know he ain't coming to help out at all.
>The same could be said with Thor: The Dark World, where London >was on the midst of being destroyed by a dimension tunnel, and >Thor was the only responder... But I digress... >
As stated above.
>The Mandarin twist wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. It >was just OK. RDJ has mastered Tony Stark, but there was >barely any Iron Man in the movie at all, despite there being a >number of suits and the Air Force One. And he wasn't in the >suit. >
I love the twist. That proved to me that Marvel is making films and not comic adaptations.
Also, I hate hearing there was no Iron Man. That's some shit little kids would say. TONY STARK IS IRON MAN. And vice versa. It was always about the man and not the suit. And this nigga made gadgets throughout the film to help him take out the bad guys. Thems shits were cool as fuck.
>And don't get me started on Pepper Potts getting the powers at >the end, that damn well might be the dumbest thing in a comic >book movie since Tobey Maguire was dancing emo in Spider-Man >3. >
HELL NO!!!! Not even close. Pepper up until Iron Man Three really had nothing to do except run Tony's business and pout about his actions.
And wasn't Pepper Rescue in the comics? Like didn't she have her own armor? I remember before IM3 dropped everyone was geeked about the rumors of Pepper being Rescue being in the film.
>I love me some War Machine, but Iron Patriot? Meh. >
Yeah... The U.S. Government is not going to all themselves to be represented by something called "War Machine" with rockets, missiles, and mini-guns coming out of it's arms and shoulders.
>It isn't terrible, just not as good as the rest. I've even >come to like Iron Man 2 better, since it really is just The >Avengers 0.5 (whereas Captain America: The Winter Soldier was >The Avengers 1.5, but that one is Top 3 or 4 in the MCU).
Iron Man 2 did really nothing to advance the story. It was a big commercial for Avengers. Plus, they made Tony an asshole in that movie. I mean shit he was so unlikeable. ------------------------------------------ America from 9:00 on: https://youtu.be/GUwLCQU10KQ
