Sublime. Vampires used as prism to explore addiction, technology, the role of science in everyday life, the love of books and music, the desolation of Detroit, and of course love. Tilda and Hiddleston were perfect choices for these roles, a blend of seriousness, humor, aloofness, and desire. Jefferey Wright was excellent, as usual, in his two scenes, and Mia Wasikowska came on screen at the perfect time. (By the way, she got a lil' bubble behind her). Ohh and John Hurt was great as well.
the look of the film and movement of the camera was almost hypnotic, and the final music scene was mesmerizing.
Jim Jarmusch is just one of the most original, and subtly enjoyable film makers around. This definitely is top 5 of the year for me.
