if i recall correctly you referred to Man of Steel as a juggernaut but i think DM2 may deserve that title. It maybe the only summer flick other than Iron Man to break 300 million.
I could be wrong. It does look like a lotta flicks are coming up short due to all the competition.

but yeah I remember renting on Xbox for my son 2 years ago. He wasnt really sitting through movies then. But we sat through and died laughing at the minions. Plus Pharrel KILLED the soundtrack. Hope he does the music again.

This is strictly for kids, which is fine, but they needed to keep the adults in mind too with this installment. If you hated the minions, you're gonna HATE this one. But yea, this is still enjoyable, just extremely lacking for anyone over 10.

you gotta remember that a lot of adults act 10 years old,lol. DM2 has a huge audience. If i decide to check it out i am definitely going at night past the kiddies bedtime.

loved the minions in the first one this time was overkill. Instead of them providing comic relief here and there. They were shoved on screen very 5 minutes doing something silly. It was really forced. But the kids will love it. Our theater full of kids was dying. But like you said anyone over 10 this is not a movie for them.

Like i said it's fine that it's more aimed at kids this time out, cause you know it's a kids movie, but it was all over the place. What I found funny is that this felt like an ad for the minions movie that's coming out Christmas 2014, and they advertise it during the first part of the end credits.
it did feel like a minions movie. This is weird but this movie reminded me of that story about writing the script for Superman in An Evening With Kevin Smith. How he meets up at dudes house and he is like we need an action beat every 10 pages. Its like the exec said we need minions ever 5 pages. MORE MINIONS! Its like they came up with minion gags then built a story around that. I was so so upset. At least Monsters University was good.

its like they took all the favorite funny moments from the first and multiplied them by 1000. But they forgot about the best part was great story and characters. Gru talking about El Macho was hilarious. Great introduction to a waste of a character.

I enjoyed it overall. I love the minions so I had no beef with them getting so much screen time, though I do agree it felt like Gru was a secondary character.
