"Snitch (Ric Roman Waugh, 2013)"

Good flick that's more heavy on the drama and light on the action (that's a good thing). The Rock turn in a solid performance, Michael K. Williams does the damn thing as usual, and Jon Bernthal aka Shane from The Walking Dead did a great job playing a twitchy ex-con trying to do right. I really liked the score in this film too. This is worth a matinee. It's also good to see Barry Pepper in a decent sized role again.

This is a rental. The shit did become a Mad Max movie in the last 15 minutes and The Rock's plan was fucking stupid also. Also, fuck that kid. He was an ungrateful little shit.

at first I was surprised by the treatment.. especially for the Rock and my expectation of completely mindless stupid action crap.

so surprised I actually thought the movie was better than it actually was.. the next day when I tried to tell someone this tho I realized I'd been tricked and that the movie was actually worse because of this.

I really enjoyed Dwyane Johnson NOT being the bad ass tuff guy kicking the shit out of folks for once. He did a damn good job thruout. They did pander to his base as BWood said in the last 15min trying to wrap things up too cleanly, but the theme and insight of how our fucked Prison Industrial Complex would push some one to do such a thing was refreshing in the least. And yes Shane and Omar did the damn thing as well

3.5/5

The Rocks best acting performance was Faster?

It was such a terrible movie that I may have just written off his performance along with the movie.

But from what I remember, believe the character in Be Cool was easier for him to portray than say the character in Faster...simply because he had to act without words. He might have had 2 pages of dialogue the entire movie.

Speaking of that: I consider Will Smith's performance in I am Legend to be one of his best. It's not easy to do what he did, be solo on the screen for as long as he did while being able to keep people's attention

There was nothing I liked about it, and now a few months later, don't even know I could tell you a single thing about it. Highly forgettable.
