RIGHT?! and let's be *real*, Colin Farrell's people *STAY* trying to hype him as a lead and it's just not true. LOL
I like Colin...as a supporting player/character actor. But as a lead? not even...
but if its an indie, he could do it. Colin just never registered as having a leading man presence.
But, I'm rooting for him to win with this TOTAL RECALL remake (if they don't have the alien with the three tits, stick a fork in it, ish is DONE before it even drops in August! LOLOLOL!)
> >With Hemsworth's star on the rise and so many other similar >young guys like Armie Hammer floating around, Kitsch's >smartest move is go to TV in a cop or medical drama. I could >have seen him as the lead in Awake or as a part of Southland. >Grey's Anatomy fans would have freaked if he joined. > > YES! or get his own show on a cable tv or something...he seems to do well there.
But, I could see him on Grey's, Southland, or even on The Good Wife, as a foil for Kalinda or as an opposing, green attorney who trade courtroom blows with Alicia...
I think he has the potential to be good...but all this came too fast, too soon.
And yes, with Arnie Hammer, Chris and Liam Hemsworth, Henry Cavill, Channing Tatum seeming to have a career surge, Tom Hardy (though he comes off more as character actor who can carry a film without issue), Michael Fassbender,Joel Edgerton, Chris Evans, etc. Taylor is fighting for space in an *already* crowded lane and is being pushed OUT of that lane because he's too close to the edge and all that.
In a few years, if he gets some meatier roles and gets some kind of praise for them and is consistent with those roles, i lead in a mid budgeted studio flick could work.
