6. "No Country For Old Men, 13 Assassins, We Own The Night" In response to Reply # 4
NCFOM - There was such a thrilling and building cat-and-mouse in that film. Starting when Chigurh hears the beeps as he's driving, hightening when Chigurh finally catches up to Llewelyn at the hotel and chases him through that old-timey town, and ending when Chigurh does that bit of frontier medicine in his hotel room.
WOTN - That car chase through the rain had me nervous as shit. I kept trying to blink my eyes and un-blur the screen because I felt like I was going to crash. Outside of that and the opening sex scene, utterly forgettable film.
13 Assasins - Was 13 Assassins too much? Did it give action fans too much of a good thing?

that highway/bridge scene was one of the most tense/suspenseful moments in any film
and fuck no about 13 Assassins being too much. I've never been so thrilled to watch 50 constant minutes of actions. the way the samurai go from highly skilled graceful killers having the upper hand to haggard and tired murdered warriors by scene's ends was a thing of beauty

i didn't realize it till the second time around that there was no score to that scene. i thought the windshield wipers was some tense ass incidental music or something.

loved that scene, loved the movie actually didn't know anything about the comic going in and thought it was pretty cool, know a lot of people don't like it tho
