...at least it was better than Mirror Mirror. Visually it's stunning, but that's all. The movie is too long. And not enough was going on to keep me awake for 20 or 30 minutes. I would like to see what Rupert Sanders can do with a better script.

You'll miss some cool visuals and the 10 minutes of fun when the dwarves are introduced but you'll save yourself being bored for the other 110 minutes.
At times it felt like a music video director trying to be Terrence Malick but having no soul, no insight, and, well, basically no script.

I don't mind that they went kinda dark with the story (and the feminist angle on the Queen was interesting), but it was juuuust soooo sloooow. Thor did his thing, and Stewart wasn't that bad really. Although it's a little laughable to see her as Miss Badass when she had been stuck in that dungeon for so long. Or maybe I was sleeping during the prison-workout montage.

My wife was way more into it than I was. Felt like there was a lot missing from the story to explain certain things, and as someone pointed out, Charlize Theron is basically acting alone for much of the film. It was an OK movie, that's about it.

lacks beauty and depth in script and characters, especially Stewart's inability to captivate any sort of interest. She's just dull. She wasn't bad, just dull. None of the payoffs, whether the kiss or the war, wasn't capitalized. Not at all a horrible film, there was just an empty void throughout.

It's bad enough the flick is a snooze feast but then you have to look at her constipated faces and have them keep talking about how beautiful she is. because her PRE-Twilight shit (PANIC ROOM, ADVENTURELAND, etc.) is *REALLY* fucking good....
there is no reason for her to be this bad intentionally i don't care how much money she's getting for these films...
*YET* I keep hearing her work in ON THE ROAD is fantastic...like legitimately.
so basically, from what I've heard from folk who've seen this movie is that Charlize OWNS the film, yet folk are bored to tears when the ACTUAL leads are on the screen...

After about 20 minutes i fell asleep,lol, i woke back up around the time the princess died and came back to life, i think.( i thought she was immortal,lol, idk what was going on) I do know this should get some razzie nominations. It was a double feature day for me so when this god awful ridiculous film ended the film i was really interested in was starting right next door. I will talk about that superhero movie later.
