The two leads didn't have much chemistry at all, and they weren't really all that likable. Found it hard to believe that Cillian would die by forgetting to 'top up', that's a pretty amateur mistake by someone of his calibur.
Needed a lot more Olivia Wilde, her and guy from Big Bang were wasted. Just a really boring two hours where you don't give a damn about what happens to the characters.

A lot of moments that made you question the characters' logic, and there were some things left inexplicably unexplained, but it was still entertaining.

Her wig was atrocious, but the strip poker scene was very worth it, as was the ensuing running scene.
JT has what it takes to be a good actor, but he needs to be someone cool and mischievous-- he was FAR better in the second half of the film than in the first half.
Cillian Murphy is immensely watchable to me. Even if his character was a pretty terrible cop and horribly underwritten.
I liked the extended allegory, even if it beat you over the head by having the phrases "day" "time" "minute" "hour" every single goddamn line of the movie. It was an extremely interesting premise... just not very well-written or edited.

I know it's annoying when you post something and it gets locked, but you really ought to use the search Engine to see if someone's posted about it already. Especially for these big Hollywood movies.

I did search for it, but i kept getting over 1k in results, this site really doesn't have a good search engine, and using the "or" and "and" options don't help much either, especially when the thread was made in july lol now the only reason it shows up is because it got updated.

Click Subject Only if you know the title of the film, click the 'and' function, and put quotation marks around what you're trying to search if it's a really bland title like "In Time." Not that hard.

i did not know about putting titles in quotes to reduce the number of results. i always put in AND with subject or subject and message, and sometimes like Beatnick said, thousands of results come up.
when i upp'd this, it was like the tenth one down on the first page. no biggie.

they never say anything about it but the punishment for any crime would seem to be the death penalty. If they got it set to where the poor people die and can never get enough time it would be totally backwards to imprison somebody and give them time for free, even if it was for labor.
I like this movie because it did look like one long commercial, especially whenever justin and amanda had to run lol
it's cheesy but if you don't take it too seriously it's a pretty entertaining movie. Man, I would have loved to see that casting call for the extras.

I mean, if this movie were an American Idol contestent and Simon were still a judge, he'd use words like "dreadful" or "ghastly" or "appallingly bad". How many groan-inducing 'time' puns did we need?
What a poorly thought out mess. I'd say there were plot holes, but this shit is more like a spider web- there isn't even enough plot to say there are holes in it. The premise itself is laughably stupid from every popssible perspective. Even from a sci-fi standpoint, the premise is garbage because the time-as-currency thing is too flimsy, corny, and cheap to really hold up.
I mean, his mom only had an hour and a half of time left to get home. WTF was she going to do even if the bus ride was still only an hour? Get that half hour back from her son? Then what? She would have died in her sleep anyways. Folks with a couple hours of time to their name spending minutes on coffee? Word? Even with reasonable explanations for this bit of stupidity, it's a dumb idea.
JT is usually charming enough to be likable at a minimum, but there's nothing to like about him here. The movie sucked ass. Blowed chunks. The End.

i wanna impregnate Seyfied, god damn she is so easy on the eyes. And honestly JT held it the fuck down. i dug the Bonnie & Clyde twist and all the political commentary on class, control and rebellion (alas as always colored folk are very few and far between in sci-fi dreams). there was some cheese, def plot holes and just bad casting choices / scenes, but overall this was 3.5/5
