Alvin and the Chipettes are driving a toy car with David Cross hot in pursuit... and Cross is flying a helicopter towards them, only for the painfully obvious eventual jump to the helicopter. But since Cross is faster on feet than the copter, it makes less sense than singing chipmunks.

Zachary Levi showed he has a possible movie career being the shlubby John Cusack-esque neurotic everyman love interest. I mean, he hammed it up. But he's a good-looking charming guy who could be funny if he had a character that wasn't solely in the film to relieve Jason Lee and to advertise XBox and Wii. Which he does. The whole film.
Jason Lee looks a lot like the original Dave. Like, a lot.
Everything about the chipmunks is strange and horrifying.

agree, this was freaking bad and worse than the first by a lot which I figured as much
He thought it was great and I didn't let him know any differently
My biggest question is why do they need big name stars to do the chipmunk voices when they all sound a like with the sped up vocal effect? Christina Applegate, Amy Poehler, Justin Long, really??
