"Top 12 Batman 3 rumors"

The thought of any of these coming true is horrifying, especially a Zach Snyder directed Batman 3. The only person worse than that glorified ad director helming the film would be Rik Cordero. While I'm on the topic of directors, I like Christopher Nolan alright but how awesome would a David Fincher Batman movie be? It would certainly enhance the detective aspect of it, but I think I read somewhere that they offered him the chance before and he turned it down.

I'd prefer to see a not-so-popular villain for a third installment (leave Penguin, Catwoman, etc, aside I think) but Depp as Riddler would be gold.

they should use his real name, Edward Nigma or Edward Nashton, instead of The Riddler and have him look like The Riddler in the Batman: TAS but darker greens and loose the question mark. I can really see him doing this role.

but they could tone him down a bit. The webbed toes and fingers could have been surgically removed and the 'beak' can be just a really pointy nose.

I think Giamatti could be just as dark as hoffman, although, I would say Hoffman's 'asshole' is SUPERB.

What makes you think Hoffman would serve this role better?

Catwoman, Robin, etc. being in the next Batman Movie? Isn't that where they got off track with the franchise last time? Batman has hundred's of great storylines that don't involve hard to make realistic arch-enemy villians.

but i agree. and it's too easy to do so.

i'm not scared that they'll do robin though... if nolan's involved. nolan has shown no interest in robin, esp. where it's still the beginning years of batman.

penguin as he is in the comics now could work, i.e., as a shady nightclub owner/crime boss

catwoman? maybe

it's a pity that he fucked up with ras al ghul in the first movie.

but yeah

a lot of batman's rogue gallery seems too camp for the movies.

how about mr szasz?

they can be goofy and threatening in the comics but that doesnt usually come across on the screen. the goofy just takes over.

He is diagnosed by Scarecrow as insane and escapes during the attack on Gotham.

He'll probably make a reprise in the third film seeing as Gotham is only going to be more fucked up now that Batman is actively being pursued as an outlaw and less as a welcome vigilante in the upcoming film.

Mr. Zsasz couldn't carry an entire film on his own. He just kills people plus in this iteration of the Bat universe, he's already a fugitive within Gotham.

Yeah. some of those are kinda scary bad. Miley Cyrus come on, that is just repeating the mistake they made with the last franchise. LOL at Morgan Freeman working with Hanna Montana.

My vote is for Sam Rockwell as the riddler, or Hoffman as the pengiun. I don't really see the penguin translating well into this universe.
