That's exactly what it is......a really long episode of X-files. I thought it was OK. I had to see it because Batman was sold out and it was the only other thing on, but it was alright.

and I think I *tried* to watch it a few weeks ago but got distracted (I can't watch movies like that at work). but then I heard it sucked so I never revisited the movie.
I want to believe the creators/writers were really abducted, killed and replaced with soulless clones.
I want to believe the original script was too powerful for the Aliens to let the public to see.
It's the only answer for why, in this crazy time for humanity, they would release this boring piece of shit that says absolutely nothing. The Simpsons have had more intense episodes.

No really, don't watch it, it is basically the same as being kicked in the balls, but some people find pleasure in being kicked in the balls. Even if you're the kind of person who would order a high priced prostitute to mangle your sexual organs and enjoy that type of thing, it is improbable and unlikely that you would enjoy the experience of watching X-Files 2.

then again im not hard to impress. but still, i enjoyed the geekiness of seeing them back together again. it felt more like a subdued farewell (if the final scene of them rowing in a boat is anything to go by). i liked it. they're older, they're re-examining their lives and doin some soul-searching n alla that. i dig that aspect of it the most, but it was kind of wrapped up in an unnecessary extended episode plot which i don't think it needed.
i reckon the film woulda fared better as a 95% Mulder/Scully-centric thing, examining their r/ship and the fun of exploring the idea, "ok it's been years...what the fuck do they do with themselves now?", and less pedo priests with visions.
i'd watch another one if they made it.
QUESTION tho: as far as i can remember, in the last episode of the series, Mulder & Scully are on the run, the final scene is them laying in a hotel room bed with Scully's baby in between em. now in the film i don't remember any explanation for where her kid is. they never said if he died, but were alluding to it cos of Scully's attachment to the terminally ill kid in hospital. still it wasn't crystal clear for me. anyone know? or are we just to assume the kid died, even tho we get absolutely no answers?
