I saw Million Dollar Baby after all of the hype so I was pretty disappointed. I didn't mind Crash when I saw it but I didn't get the hype at all. A Beautiful Mind was a TV movie.
The Departed Chicago Crash Million Dollar Baby A Beautiful Mind

Is it just a distaste for musicals or was it the film itself? Because I thought the adaption of the stage show was done brilliantly and honestly can't find a weak point in the film, which I can easily do in all of the others mentioned.
I disagree with your assessment of Miss Zellweger though, I remember thinking that her perfromances were more enjoyable that Miss Zeta Jones, and I kept hearing how CZJ was the more experienced song-and-dancey of the two.
It's a toss up between Crash and Beautiful Mind - I loved them both. I went with Crash, but mostly because I've seen it more recently.
Haven't seen Chicago (never wanted to), Million Dollar Baby (probably will eventually although I already know the ending), or The Departed (it's on my Netflix for this week).

The Departed Lord of the Rings (I'm considering this the whole LOTR trilogy, as I think the academy was considering it as well) Million Dollar Baby Chicago

Crash, which sucks in retrospect, but I liked when I watched it. and A Beautiful Mind, which I found unbearably sucky from jump.
>A Beautiful Mind >Chicago >LOTR: Return of the King >Million Dollar Baby >Crash >The Departed

>The Departed = Only good movie on here
>A Beautiful Mind = Tolerable but still Ron Howard sap
Either didn't see or hated every single one of these. Especially Crash which may be the worst Best Picture ever. >Chicago >LOTR: Return of the King >Million Dollar Baby >Crash
1. The Departed - great movie. though I still voted Casino in my poll.
2. LOTR: Return of the King - it's good. very good, but not for me. the battle scenes were amazing. the homoerotic hobbits were annoying. the 15 endings made me wanna rip my eyes out.
3. Million Dollar Baby - not a bad movie but nothing spectacular. her 'greedy white trash' family was notibly terrible.
4. A Beautiful Mind - i don't remember much about it, but it's one of those decent movies that gets pegged as garbage because of the award (and yeah I know you can say the same about most of 'em).
5. Chicago - I haven't seen it but I'm positive it's better than Crash.
6. Crash - Worst.Best.Picture.Winner.Ever. Jesus that movie sucks.

And I don't want it to seem like I hated The Departed or anything, it just bothered me how much love it got when I felt like it went wrong in a lot of ways.

The Departed (most likely because it's the freshest in my mind) LOTR: Return of the King Million Dollar Baby Chicago Crash A Beautiful Mind _____________________________________________________________________ "Writing Rules, dumb-dumb..." - Simon Stiles (D.L. Hughley), Studio 60

And the film that ends up being "worst" I consider much better, and would watch before, several hundred other films.
I really REALLY liked: >Chicago >LOTR: Return of the King
Was a fine film but not my cup of the tea: >Million Dollar Baby
Was hackneyed and jive in some ways, but had that technically perfect Ron Howard trademark visual presence with great performances all around: >A Beautiful Mind

Million Dollar Baby (flawed but has heart) Departed (Not as good as Infernal but pretty entertaining) Chicago (mediocre musical) LOTR (so boring) Crash (retarded)
