"Another Earth (2011, Cahill)"

Anyone seen this? A movie with an interesting concept and story, the acting is really good. It has a very indie and low budget feel to it, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.

I fell asleep. It started off strongly but it couldn't hold me.
Shit I did like was when dude played the saw, The scene where she was told she won and that's all I can remember. The score was the best part of the movie, and someone's gonna have to explain the ending to me cause *SPOILERS* I didn't get how the doppelganger ended up on Earth. And she looked like she was about to mirk her too.

I seen a lot of high reviews from some of my favorite sites and I didn't get it. It's a good movie, but it's kinda boring at times. Though I did like the ending, it was very interesting and had me thinking.

the relationship between her and the professor was a movie in itself. a somewhat frustrating movie, but that frustration is mostly paid off in the end.

having Earth 2 there the whole time serves as a philosophical distraction. even when the film slowed down (i didn't have much of a problem with the pacing, though) there's this anxiousness in the back of your mind the entire time.

You know it's drama, but it sound real good.

I think it just about qualifies for a sci-fi film even though it's mostly a drama.

I'm happy with it.

Good example of how good storytelling can make up the funding gap of a small budget. I thought it was quality across the board.

....while both are good, I thought the low budget AE was a better all around experiance ...and the ending left you thinking way more than Melancholia

if you've seen one I definitely recommend the other

Without that ending it was just an aiight indy drama. But the ending brought that extra little bit.

I liked it alot but I wouldn't go that far. I think there was alot more depth of thought behind Melancholia. Alot more going on.

no doubt, theres way more going on, but at the same time, the entire 1st half of the movie is very boring.. i understand they're trying to make you feel the depression and everything, but it makes for a snore fest at times ....the ending wasn't great either, but i guess theres really not much else to show after the last scene anyway

i liked the premise. i liked the low budget feel of the movie but the overall sci-fi-ness kept me asking questions.

kind of boring in the middle, but still believable. was hoping for some titties in the sex scene but alas...

loved the ending.

need more quality sci-fi on the big screen.
