or even the Griselda sound. Would have been dope at least for skits or interludes. Would have been quite the challenge to change his whole sound for an album and still be dope but I kind of think this guy can do anything lol
I think for now I'm just going to enjoy it for the great album it is and maybe watch the show later on. I hadn't seen the Wire until last year and that didn't keep me from enjoying his whole discography lol

So many layers to his writing. Amazing. He hit on all the themes and feelings of the show, and even the punchlines are era-specific to the show(that Norm Nixon one? Smh)

He pulled it off without it being gimmicky or anything because there’s clearly numerous people who haven’t even seen the show that love it. It’s almost like “Better Call Saul”…..the show stands on it’s own, but if you’ve seen “Breaking Bad” then there’s clever and fun references and important references that make you appreciate it even more.
Skyzoo is a hell of a writer, man. The album stands on its own, but the Snowfall theme takes it up a notch creatively.

I didn't start watching Snowfall till after I heard the album. He warned me that it might spoil the show for me. But I'm having a good time picking up tidbits from the album while watching the show now. Hell of a writer.

Incredible, finally got around to peepin this...and most of y'all wanna big up albums by boys that don't hit...this right here is that truth...yes it's a competitive sport people's.

But I might have to grab this. Trying to stick to super classics and artists that aren’t huge that I really want to support, when they put out really good albums. This certainly qualifies.
Every track on the original and on the deluxe is great to me. He really doubled the length of the album. Could had easily just been Part 2 but glad I get to have the full album on vinyl now.

I was chopping it up with him for a lil bit Monday night like bruh you are one of the most approachable dope emcees around. And I will be stopping by to get my new vinyl and cd signed when they drop lol.
