Not going to front like I’ve been here all 20. Or that I’m even a charter member. But I’ve learned an incalculable amount since I first stumbled into the Lesson. And met and interacted with lots of cool and interesting cats. And spent way to much time arguing or just wasting time in general.
But we still do our things. Thanks to all who keep coming back and keep contributing.

I know I preordered that album, (didn't it come with a J. Period mixtape?) So it would make sense that's how I got it. Mostly Roots stuff, some random Prince (rehearsing when the saints come marching in) and I think some MJ randoms.
20 years! Crazy. I've learned and enjoyed so much here.
remember checking the front page for the Boondocks once I stopped getting a newspaper, and they used to have the top posts showing, i think upper right hand corner. Never would have thought I'd get that far in.

So many great debates and discussions. So many laughs. Lots of knowledge and remarkably not a lot of unnecessary conflict.
I get spoiled by this place, not only because of the real sense of community but because everyone's so knowledgeable and can describe in detail their music tastes and knowledge.

It's sad when you think of where all that time that flew by, the people who use to be here, the ones who still here, and the new people who show up even though these days it's less and less.
Every year I keep saying I need to stop coming but I can't seem to stay away, lol.

The Lesson was one of Boards that hooked me to the Internet. I probably wasn't very productive at work back in 99 as a Word Processor but boy did the site get me thru the day daily. Talked to a lot of folks who were just like me....Music Heads.
