it's called "86 Witness", like from that song "the meaning"...i didn't come up with the title, so i don't feel so bad saying that shit is cold as fuck. 10 songs. Me & P started it in 2014, in December...think he said he needed that advance money for christmas presents. It was originally supposed to be an in-between albums EP for him, guest heavy, so we put our respective rap friends on the thing, worlds colliding. got elucid on a song with sean price. once p almost tore my head off via dm because i combined verses from two different songs onto one jawn, but then he loved the end result so it was all good. fun times.

I'm beyond hyped.
The timing on this is impeccable for me. I honestly couldn't listen to P for a while because it fucked me up too much. But this past weekend I fell into a youtube rabbit hole featuring a lot of his old freestyles (like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgw6LtwFHMU) and then I listened to all my favorites again and I couldn't stop smiling. Sean was the best.

i didnt listen to the project for a while as i thought it might not ever come out...but now that people are finally getting to hear it i've been digging into the original files, doing alternate mixes...and most of all marveling at that man's rapping, he was so, so good.

I'll make sure to listen to this tonight when I get home from work as I'm sure Rolling Stone will remove access to this stream shortly. Gives me a chance to preview this before I decide on plunking down my hard earned dollars for the colored vinyl version of this album.

It prefer it to Imperious Rex from a couple of years ago, and it’s certainly comparable with P!’s other dopest projects.
Right now, LaToya Jackson and Midnight Rounds are my shit. Played both on my podcast on Friday. I’ve got a weakness for tracks that sample beat boxes. And the Hebrew Israelite part on Midnight had me dying. It was also dope to hear Castle. I feel like I haven’t heard him since like 2014 with that album he did with Has Lo.

but he's also one of my biggest influences production wise, ever since he stayed with me for a week back in like 2013. taught me some really important things about fl studio (how to make 808’s of different pitches not bleed into one another, for one...SUPER important)
I now have my playlist for the rest of the day....
