his yellow journalism approach to interviewing is "effective" in a similar way that Tekashi's music is "popular." everyone wants to slow down and watch the car crash. up and coming artists see the views on his interviews and decide its a good idea. if you don't have an alternative to compare it to, you'll accept interviews that are predatory, flattening and manipulative.
