After a steady stream of dope singles this year they finally released a full length. I'm digging this album quite a bit. It is reminiscent of their first 2 albums, that is, it's more hip hop without the strong pop/dance influence (Fergie years).
I noticed that not all the singles they released are on here so it's I think 9 songs of new material. Maybe they'll put Street Livin' and Get It on Vol. 2, but either way if this is the direction BEP is going then I'm all for it.

I've listened about 5 times front to back over last day and I LOVE this. I have the same feeling as when Tribe dropped their latest lp. Great to hear some dope hip hop.
Will killed this shit man. I love all the beat switches he threw in there!

but i've never looked to bep for the amazing lyricism or anything so it doesn't bother me. the overall package is stellar to me on this project. as you say the "overall vibe" is there and it works here.

yeah, the respective BEP teammates don't really do it for me lyrically. Will is always solid. But the middle section of this album is straight heat. Plus the Phife cameo. And of course Will pulled no punches on the beats.
bump this shit in your ride. Its got a quality sound.
All that said, are we really going to see a Vol 2 or 3.

This has been on repeat for the week. I love this shit.
Let's be real, we ain't looking to BEP for great lyricism or extra impressive mc'ing. So for me they just sound good over the beats and don't fuck up the groove. That's enough for me with BEP.
And yeah, Will killed this shit. I love all the beat switches.
